its not square meshed, perhaps it was the picture that makes it look square meshed. knitting a square mesh netis totaly differant in how you start and finish it

heres one i made earlier, thinking about it i dont suppose it maters how you make it, just some methods must be easier than others

Ok, miss use of words, length, depth, witdh hight. What i was asking is if i wanted a longnet to be 100yrds long(200yrds of net) and to gain this i had to knit 3600 half meshes (1800 full meshs) are you saying you start on the long edge(200yrd edge) and knit 3600 half meshes then once youve done this you drop down and knit the other way, again doing 3600 half meshes. this would then make one row of 1800full meshes. then keep doing the above untill you get the correct number or rows (16) of full meshs to finish the net?

All the best to you and your Lady, and please contact me soon as your back so i can honor my part of the deal have a great time, safe travels

correct me if im wrong but are you saying in your reply that you knit your longnets by knitting the length then drop down and do the width(the setting hight) ? if so, the next time i knit a 100yrd net (200yrds of netting) i will have to do 16 rows, each with 3600meshs? surely there has to be an easyier way of knitting a long net?

1 bananna.....2 bananna.......3 bananna............... ONLY KIDDING i know the distance between my hook in the wall and where i run out of space to be roughly 60 rows, when i hit the wall i count off 50rows and tie a piece of bright twine around the whole row of meshes. this keeps it tidy and at a quick count up of the bits of twine i know how many more rows to do, hope this helps good luck with your net

FERRET15, im sorry, Sadly the nation wont or doesnt realy think about the solders families because were to involved with our own lives. IT IS VERY COMMENDERBLE what you are doing, trying to raise public support for the familys whose lives have been affected by this and other wars. I can only say whats in my thoughts, and yes the solders who are there, or who were there and those who wont be coming back from there are all hero's in my book. So are people like yourself, in your own way you are also a vctim of this war, or more to the point, a victim of the fact your husbands in the army

you want to talk to me about not seeing the hurt caused to solders on their return from their postings? i live in fecking east anglia, i live no more than a stones throw from their Base. I have mates who are serving with the royal anglians as we speak. as for telling us to go back to our silly little lives where the reality stretchs no further than our dogs broken toe, i have one thing to say to you. STOP SHOUTING THE f*****g ODDS ABOUT A f*****g WAR THAT HAS AND WILL CLAIM MANY MORE LIVES BEFORE THE POLITICIANS DECIDE WE AS A NATION HAVE HAD ENOUGH. THIS IS THE SECOND THREAD YOU HAVE POS

i trap moles for a living, so results meen cash payments. with this in mind im always looking at what i do in miniscle detail. something what i have noticed over the many years ive been doing this is something that happens each and every year at this time of the year. with the drop in tempriture at night i find the moles become more active at a depth best suited for trapping, this is due i believe to the moisture on the ground causing the worms and mole food stuff rising to the surface. this is great for me as this makes my job so much more straight forward. but it is this moisture in the fo

get in contact with the MOD and complain that the payments made by this govenment, that we as a nation ellected are paying, dont come anywhere near to paying for the loss of loved ones. see if they listen. untill then i think your pleas will fall on death ears
-
just remove the berrys when you want to bottle it but leave all the little bits in it, adds to its appeal

TOM.... do yourself a favour mate,, if you do part with some cash for it ask him to knock a few yrs off, take you back to your younger good looking days

to make a 100yrd working net(200yrds of netting) you will need approx 2kgs of twine. OTC, i think i was quoted as saying something that was infact said by whitbyrich. i allways quote a nets mesh size by its full mesh length, not the mesh gage used to gain this full mesh. youve just got to love this netting game havent you?

ask if its a shiney finish twisted nylon as ive found on most z twist nylon you will have to double knot it to stop slip knots from happening. try going for a spun nylon or a spun poly, much better IMO

SAY WHAT ???? if thats a posh way of saying you just want to have a look to see if were up to scratch, and able bodied to a degree that would give maximum satisfaction without droping dead through exhaustion. and also to see if were flexible enough to reach the parts other beers cannot reach in an effort to keep bordom at bay why not just ask?

SWEETS, I LOVE SWEETS, WHOS GOT SWEETS????? Mesh size on nets is a personal thing i feel. i have long nets with mesh sizes from 4inch full mesh to 4 1/2 inch full mesh. i also have some purse nets with a mesh size of 3inch. regardless of mesh size they all catch and hold very well
