  1. Nice looking sire and dam, pups should sell quickly
  2. Any news, did they come good in the end?
  3. Yes, spot on I've owned both types of hobs over the years and it is only the vasectomised ones that have lead in their pencils.
  4. Excellent, at least I can attend this year with the mutts as normally away
  5. Rob has just finished one for me on similar lines and I am really pleased with his work
  6. Same here, if a large number of nets are set in thick cover I always opt for the jills that can slip through the meshes with no bother. In areas with just the long nets, the hobs can carry on regardless.
  7. Excellent news and really pleased for you, speak soon
  8. My dad had one when we were growing up and it was extremely agile and trainable. I've given it some thought myself as a dog to accompany me shooting, but as I enjoy the lurchers I have not taken it further yet. I will watch this post with interest
  9. And forgot to say, plenty of young around at the moment...
  10. I use both the rifle and ferrets/dogs on the rabbits and I know which I prefer. The rifle takes second prize every time
  11. Looks like a quality piece of work I've got one just like that in the freezer to be worked on, what do you charge?
  12. You can't beat a good mooch on Boxing Day
  13. Good advice, I agree that the sandy warrens are best avoided through choice. The very sandy ones can cause big issues if not careful
  14. In that case I tick all the boxes, please send to................
  15. A very good proposal, with the interests of working dogs in mind. I hope this is well supported
  16. Good stuff, how many ferrets did you use and did you use longnets?
  17. Fair comment, reality is always the best option .
  18. Exactly, I've never seen a ferret do anything else! Even when I've got kits in the past that have had no handling whatsoever, they've all been straight to the front of the cage aswell. When I approach the cage he'll leg it into the nest box, then peep out of the nest box for a couple of minute...slowly make his way out and then once he's out he'll be fine. It's proper cautious though. When he's peeping out if I put my hand to his face he won't dart back in or nip or anything, he'll just sniff my hand but stay where he is for a while. It's really odd because when you're holding him he's so
  19. As the warren looked to have been potentially a deep one with various layers, putting in more than two ferrets may have assisted. Sods law though once a camera is introduced
  20. Good going bud that freezer must be filling now.
