  2. Any one had experience with this breed at all , my brothers mate has a litter planned ( yes their K.C unfortunately ) Have googled the breed and like what i'm seeing , and they seem to have a strong working instinct even now ! So any one worked one , got one ???
  3. That is a strange one ? What is whe like with the other ferrets ? Any weight gain , does she look bloated ? Has she been in season or had a hob put over her ??? Since putting psycho as i'm now calling him in with my jill the other night then seperating them she has been the same !!! My vet said there is nothing wrong with her physically and just put it down to hormones !!!
  4. I had a sandy jill like that a few years ago & jesus christ she was a hard ferret , split second she came within striking distence of another ferret & she was round there throats, and quick , never seen anything like the forocity when she attacked Maybe their related How was she as a worker ?
  5. Quick update on the ferret i have adopted . he's doing well fattened up nicely and is a pleasure to handle but my god he is the most violent ferret to any other ferret male or female that i have ever had I have tried introducing him to my others and the hobs a psychopath !!! I would expect him to try and ride every female that comes into contact with him he is dangerous and doesnt even try a neck bite to hold them down , he just charges at them and bullies them onto the backs and starts clawing and biting like crazy !!! I think i'm begining to get why his owner lost him lol
  6. Thanks for the reply , we can include what you would have run preban as well
  7. Hmmm i see i have made a bit of a tit of myself , i know that we can only legally hunt rabbits and rats so this might be a bit pointless How about what type of dogs are run in which area that might throw up some interesting results ??
  8. Thought it might be interesting for everyone to know what type of lurcher your running and in what area and what your main quarry is and how you pursue it , For example : I run a saluki/grey bitch My main quarry is rabbits I lamp and ferret with her I'm from Lincolnshire and the ground i run is open fields and some woodland . Maybe this will show some interesting correlations
  9. Ay i see what your saying but i quarantine them in a spare hutch for a week or so and nip em to the vets first chance i get ! Quick update on him , he's coming on well very very calm and obviously well handled but not a single reply from the local rag or from the signs i put up so i guess he's mine now Hopefully see what he's like this season , i'll say one thing the boy can eat for England !!! He's had a whole pigeon to himself today and half a bowl of biscuits !
  10. Well thats it for me , no more , not a chance !!!!!!!
  11. 14. Randolph turpin was a booth boxer before he went pro
  15. I have a friend who works rehoming dogs to good loving homes for a local animal rescue , they would not go to a working home but they would go to people who are genuinely looking for a long term pet and who the shelter background check and visit regularly over the course of a year to make sure the dog is being cared for properly . Not ideal i know but a option if you get really stuck mate
  16. Russell brand !!!!! Get your filthy heroin stained supermodel diddling poncy manicured rim jobbing jonathan ross tossing hands off my katy you pouncy haired barst*rd
  17. consider taking me under their wing so to speak and give me a bit of a introduction to falconry i.e housing , care and handling ??? I have always wanted to fly these birds but I cant find anyone close to me ( Lincolnshire ) who can give me some experience so I can decide if falconry is something i can really get involved in or if its not really for me ? I have read quite a few books but obviously they cant give me real hands on experience . Thanks for reading CW
  18. My silver hob , only marginally bigger than your average jill . Fantastic worker in a warren
  19. I concur  good to hear mate!!! I'd also add that in all walks of life most people and dogs you see are not fulfilling their full potential. Very true plenty of jukels never reach their full potential
  20. Had both my jills jabbed last month and one's back in season , would like to hire a vasectomised hob for a few days if any ones got one in the lincs area I don't fancy paying another 20 quid consultation fee plus a15 quid for the jab ATB CW
  21. Usually when a pup voids its bowels like that it is it's final way of submitting to the more dominant dog , if the adult did not break off when the pup did this this then i doubt you will get the adult to accept the pup .
  22. Is that for the whole season or just one outing
  23. A wrestling style my granddad taught me !
