  1. just keep handling every single day for at least 15-20 mins. distract with one hand and pick up with the other holding index finger and thumb round its neck and other three fingers under front legs (around ribs) so it can't turn round and bite....it'll be OK after a couple of weeks, just needs to get used to you and your son
  2. Here's what I do ideation warm salt water coton wool swill out in the morning then apply sudacrem same late afternoon then another warm salt water rinse at night followed by a good dolup of runny honey smeared on in the evening speeds tge healing up a treat , ; ) I thought cleaning the battery terminals would be more effective
  3. when you look at how much they are I just find it wierd that no one else has started making them, they can't be that complicated surely???? in any other industry if someone produces a successful product it's copied overnight, why not in this case??? they are easily the most overpriced product of any hunting product!! proper rip off!

  9. well that was the other thing I was going to ask, one of them is inbetween an A road and a housing estate....it's never pitch black because of the glow of the streetlights/road etc! we do get a few runs but it's just bloody hard work to be honest. Any tips on that sort of place? Depends Rob, i'd be wary about the a road depending what sort of road it is, had some scary moments with dogs being taken over roads, all i can suggest is try and get between the rabbits and their warrens, you could alwasy string a long net out but im assuming you want to run the dog? No there's no chan
  10. sounds like I've just got a duffer then! of all the things I could get that are knackered it has to be something that takes three weeks to get here You,ve not got a duffer mate ,just ordered the wrong torch, the one you have is more of a flood than a spot, thats why your not getting the distance.Ive ordered shit loads of torches from china and all of them i can honestly say are worth the money, but not all are good for hunting ,had another 2 come through this week bugger! which one is the one to go for then? and how do I know if it's spot or flood, it doesn't say!

  12. I went lamping this morning just after 4am and went to two different farms and there was literally sod all about. Dog got 2 runs in 2 hours, seriously poor! Am I better going earlier than that? what time do people normally go? I must admit at one farm there were tyre tracks all over the fields (tw'ts!) so it's possible the chav brigade were there just before me scaring everything in sight, but there's usually plenty of rabbits at the other one and it was dead, we saw 1 rabbit! Would I be better going at about midnight rather than early morning?

  14. yeah this one has a single LED aswell. Were all the ones you've tried decent or just the 1600?......I might see if I can fix the switch and try it again. You're right about the size, they are absolutely tiny, for anyone that's not seen one of these they are probably about 12cm long and about 2cm in diameter.
  15. Right, I ordered a 1000 lumen cree torch from China and it finally arrived last week. Took it out on Thursday night (minus dog who I thought was injured), and took along my lumen duracell LED torch for comparrison. First impression was that it was bloody well bright for such a small torch, but when I got in a field and shone it at trees about 30 or 40 meters away I was really disappointed at the spot, and even more disappointed when I shone my duracell torch at the same point........the duracell has a much tighter beam and shines for a much further distance (in theory the Cree should be 12

  17. not at the same time but would have a good chance one at a time. you want to get it out in the field today and tell it to catch that satalite! you might get a knighthood for saving mankind!

  19. there is nothing more annoying that someone who's made a reasonably decent vid of hounds only to put a shitty tune over the real soundtrack!
