  2. I know lads that are being prosecuted at the moment,by the clueless idiots, because of scars on dogs and posting pictures. So keep posting the piccy,s and when you get a knock at the door don,t forget to tell them who the real idiot is. what extactly are they being done for?....dogs carry scars,.....simple as weather is rows in kennel or out bushing with terriers.....they are picked up hear there and everywhere......there has gotta be more to it than just a scarring around a dog muzzle...... .Then when you get the knock on the door because of the posted pic,s the clueless idiots ta
  3. she's just got off her bed and can't put any weight on it again.....don't think it's just a sting :cray:
  4. sods law, you wait 3 weeks for your cree torch and the morning before it arrives you have an injured dog, b*****d! that thing is f'ckin unbelievably bright though for such a small torch!

  5. Just checked it again and the whole foot is slightly swollen now, she's walking OK now but it's definitely swollen. I'll keep my eye on her to see how she gets on in the next couple of days. I won't be rushing her back into anything just in case, not worth the risk!
  6. Veedublee will have to be careful about parking in the mother and child spaces now aswell as the mongo spaces! just parking the car is a minefield for the poor lad!
  7. cheers bud, I'm hoping it isn't a sprain but if it is I'll give that a go.
  8. As I was carrying mine back to the car there was a mixi'd rabbit sat near the road that she eyed up, I was half tempted to put her down to see if we had a little britain style instant temporary recovery didn't risk it though just in case it was a sprain!
  9. they are proper drama queens aren't they! I've never known dogs like them for that. A couple of times I accidentely stood on my mastiffs foot with walking boots on and I ain't a small bloke, he didn't even make a sound. Once I stepped near my lurchers foot, I swear to god I never touched her and she yelped....and then instantly look embarrassed (I didn't know dogs could actually express emotions like that!)....funny as f'ck!
  10. Couple of seasons ago my big dog had a few months off hanging his foot up. It was in the shooting season and he would come to the kennel door with his foot in the air....i prod and poke every part of his foot and nothing. Try up at his elbow and shoulder and still nothing. Anyway i'd take him along and see what he was like on the day and when he got there he was perfect, no limp, no pain and he jumped and ran at full tilt. Would go to the kennel the next day and he would be fine. Then after a week or so it would just happen again. I checked all over the kennel to see if there was an exposed
  11. Cheers lads. Just pressed on every bit of her pads and nothing, just pushed the foot towards the leg and nothing still, the top of her toes on that foot seem a bit swollen though. I've just called her and she's walked without a limp, a bit gingerly but not limping......must be a sting do you think?
  12. matter of time before they make it illegal to burn a guy on the fire.....they'll spout some bull shit about it encouraging kids to set each other on fire. Makes my bloody boil!
  13. It speaks volumes when the head of the NSPCC "strongly discourages parents from letting their kids take part in activities like this" but he probably wouldn't bat an eyelid if a kid was sat in front of the telly or computer slowly getting obese. It's disciplined and it's getting them fit. No different to jujitsu or anything like that, it just hasn't got a fancy oriental name. If it didn't have the words 'cage' and 'fighting' in the title it probably wouldn't have even made the news!
  14. I was planning a lamping trip in the early hours of tomorrow so decided to get up reasonably early today to take the mutt for a quick wander so she could chill all day today ready for tomorrow morning. Nice little wander through the woods, not a lot about but not to worry, she has a quick dip in the river and then we start to head back. She chases a rabbit but cover to thick, she comes back to me and as we're walking off she suddenly stops and starts shaking her front foot and then licking it just below her ankle, then can't put any weight on it at all. I'm still not 100% sure if she's spra
  15. poke him in the eye then joke, people, joke duhhhh, I don't get it!
  16. I can't believe it was 20 years ago!!! bloody hell!
  17. think there's quite a few that work staffs to be honest, adaptable little dogs!
  18. Tragic what happened to both him and Mcclellan......I don't think people realise what bloody good fighters both of them were before their incidents either, Mcclellan was knocking the shit out of Ben in that fight, if Ben wasn't so amazingly resilient it might have been a different outcome.
  19. how does a lab go on in really thick cover? do they just push through or pull out? my uncle had a pointer x alsation that was about lab size and it used to just plough through even thick brambles, quite impressive for a big dog!
  20. Last year one of the guns at the shoot i pick up on had his wife with him and she was working a poodle. A big black f*****g thing. It was a right pain in the arse cause it was picking all the easy 1's and i had my young pup out for a look that day and was hoping he would get a few nice easy retrieves. It didnt listen very well and it dropped game if it seen anything else it fancied picking..... Basically a picker ups nightmare!!!... it'd probably work well if trained properly though wouldn't it? aren't they supposed to be one of the most intellegent dogs?
  21. Anyone got, had or heard of unusual dogs being used for different types of hunting and how good were they? I've seen posts mentioning pure collies lamping, alsations marking, akitas marking, that dreamer that was going to use a minature poodle as a busher....just wondered if anyone else has anything or has heard of anything that might be a little bit out of the ordinary? whether purpose bought, or whether you used it because you just so happened to already have it as a pet?
  22. i vote Malt too....something definitely needs doing because its gone downhill rapidly!
  23. guess not,i saw tins of xmas quality street in the shops other day really annoys me that sort of thing, it's like people are constantly wishes their lives away. Any mention of Christmas should be banned until December, and any mention of Easter banned until after Easter when all the eggs are dead cheap and I can be a piglette! hahah agreed mate, xmas should start december.there nutters in my street have thier xmas trees and decor up at the end of nov.there reason "its for the kids" aye you ya f*****g clown. then there loonies who keep it up all year round. they start at
