  1. scumbag knobjockeys :wankerzo4: too clean up after someone else would put anyone in a foul mood to say the least. have had the same trouble myself, as you say the problem is the farmer tars us all with the same brush then and permission is withdrawn. or the chosen quarry may never use the same place again as it is basically ruined.. far too many pricks at this carryon with dandilion dogs. i don't see too many big places left open...that alone says enough for me. fair play to you anyway lad
  2. correct me if im wrong i was under the belief that an eel of 1 lb weight was maybe 3-4 yrs old ???
  3. no sweat pal im fully aware of this. naill has posted a good topic on this already. i fully agree with you'r opinion amd am aware of this myself since reading the other topic. ALTHOUGH since fishing for them recently and seeing fishermen setting lines and traps on the shores of lough neagh i don't think a few lads with rods catching a few for the pan are the cause of the decline. there is a lot more bigger ''fish to fry'' than the common coarse angler that has respect for his game. pardon the punn. :11:
  4. Leave eating the Eels alone you come sack
  5. i've recently been doing a spot of night fishing and have bought a few floats that hold the night lights-glow sticks. i've got them of EBAY and ASKARI FISHING. they do the job but im sure there could be a better seletion somewhere on another site. does anyone know or buy off any other sites that they could recommend to me???? i seen a fella using a night float that had a screw on weight on the bottom that you could change to a different size to alter the boyancy levels. ideally this would be the type of float i am looking for. i've put a pic up of a similar float just incase you's are wonderi
  6. well done fella. that will keep you going for a while
  7. someone with a bit of sense. thank god.
  8. my advice would be to take the fresh poo home with you and leave it on the hearth for a few nights and if it doesn't turn GREEN  then you'r dogs are safe pal   :headshot:: :stupid:
  9. good stuff plenty of talk about these jagd terriers of late. they are a nice type of dog. atb anyway...mudd dog...
  10. Sounds like a good do i'd take care of her as long as she cleans her 'puntang' :tongue4: with the epsom salts before hand :11:
  11. you caught some nice barbel there mate. ive never caught 1 myself i've seen plenty of fishing dvd's and programmes on them and they seem to be a hard fighting fish..... i wish you well on the season ahead p.s. catch one for me..
  12. yeah mate dats were we were at. maggots and worms were both working though the maggots were catching more, getting loads of line bites with the worms big bream real cagy just striping the hooks.
  13. went down to lough neagh on thurs night around 9pm with a few friends to throw a couple of rods in for the eel. the wind was blowing a gale and didnt help much with the leger rods as the alarms and indicators were blowing and bleeping constantly. once it began to darken down my rod went first and that was it until we packed up just before dawn at 3.30am. between the two of us and another friend that was fishing close by we bagged in around twenty eel. my bag consisted mostly of bootlaces nothing really big but i'll keep them for pike bait as i threw the bigger ones on the pan.........yum yum y
  14. work away with what you think would trick the pike into thinking it's a real bait fish, yes you'd need trace wire mate. if you don't get much luck on lures have a go at deadbaiting with some roach or mack tails etc... good luck neway....mudd dog
  15. i was men't to be going for them on thurs night too!!!!!!!!! i might just be taking your advice topnotch lol. let you's know what the story is
  16. That's the case with all fish with markings. And all fish are darker on the back in clear water, with more vivid colours especially the primary colours. p.s What's with all the gloves, you little benders very funny leegreen you have me in tears here
  17. im still non the wiser mate all that jargons a bit over my head. lough neaghs full of eel i caught a few two weeks ago while fishing for the big bream that have came in there thousands to spawn and are now dying after doing so. the place will be minging in a few weeks. i wonder what would happen if fishing the bottom for bream like i was doing and a bailiff witnesses you reeling in an eel. illegal are not. would i end up in court???????????? just a thought mate
  18. hi niall..........i wasn't aware it was illegal to fish for eels. when did this happen???? i used to enjoy fishing them camping all night long and cooking them for breakie in the pan yummmm yummm
