mud dog , you say floating mackrel tail , hows that fished , trotted , freeline , popped up , would love to see a take with that sounds interesting bud !!!!!
just trotted mate
80lb braid and you won't lose em
I fish that on my multiplier for lure fishing and have yet to lose a lure when using it! Pulled some huge 100lb plus tree stumps and enormous lost eel nets over in norfolk broads pikeing last year The hooks will bend straight rather than lose the lure
:11: ha ha you're just as bad as a mate of mine... he just bought a ball of 75lb braid off ebay and loaded all his reels up with it he's a headcase. i told him if he doesnt catch, at least he'll be able to hang himself with it
i work terriers next to the likes of rockpiles etc. and being honest if i was running 1 off my dogs/bitches along a bank and noone was home, hypertheically speaking, if the dog/bitch bombed off on a scent, down the field with the bellman around the neck 2wards a large rockpile were i knew he/she were certain to get on...........i would shit myself reason being i know i'm gonna have to get the 'mudda fudda' out by digging down.
pest control etc. i do also but i havn't got the room or kennels to keep a certain terrier for every type of terrian
they make the grade or they don't. :search:
keep looking in the forsale section pal i got a lil belter las week for a hunderd quid the guy said hes neva bin to ground and he went first time out was pleased wit him
Hes after a terrier COUPLE, not a terrier! LOL
Kyle
haha i fort he meant a dog an bitch lol
easy mistake mate he didn't word it too good. thought the same myself
so terriers that show/walkout are usefull??????????????? suit yourself speaking for myself here but i have no place in my yard for jackers.
of course they are usefull. for pest control they are the bollocks. they are just useless for digging to. so are more suited to bolting foxes.
i understand were you's are coming from lads but being totally honest for 1 i wouldn't keep a dog that i knew was a jacker.... for example....if you had a bolting dog that you use in rock piles etc and you knew it would only do and hour at a fox and one day you ran it threw a bank and it got on. mr fox
Hahahah ive got a good ROACH HOT SPOT NOW even when its -10 lol
Yeah, the wifes freezer which she filled with dead bait..
Your right their was that you creeping round my house the other night ?
your caught out pal
speak for yourself lad. personnally i never done or witnessed two terriers going to ground at the same time?? that was until the end of last season when i was invited to southern ireland through a friend off a friend and these fellas thought it was ""THE DONE THING""??????? i couldn't believe my eyes. to say the least i won't be on a green field with them again... IMO if 1 terrier on it's own cannot do the job it was breed to do, it aint worth a batt. the same applies to lurchers.
good stuff TOPNOTCH you have done you're homework it's a pity you have to send your woman out to catch livebait for you while you babysit the kiddies reason being all you can catch is the cold . i'd say if you had a decent roach fry on a 12ft deadbait rod you would be huffing and puffing more than ur man catching that double figure...... :11: ha ha
i'd be throwing them live roach and perch on never mind. speed things up then you're giving yourself a better chance of catching mr. pikie. p.s. i find sometimes when im fishing places and theres alot off shoals of bait fish around dead bait is'nt very effective for obvious reasons.. just my opinion.
i'd prefer to dig the fox then throw it up the field for 1 and only 1 lurcher. give it a sporting chance. that way you're getting the best out of both worlds.
