  2. Hi all, As title says I was just wondering what number of scope cap I need to buy for a swaro 8x56, my boss's one caught on my jacket the other day and cracked at the hinge the other day and said I would replace it, many thanks, Regards.
  3. I've the 8 shot version but this hasn't happened to me before, sorta same thing happened on my old auto, try pushing the hook down, like apply pressure in a clock wise direction if this makes sense, like push it forward so as it push's down and it should click into place. Hope this helps, ATB
  4. Bump, Yes FTB how "interesting" those were my friends and I find it offensive that someone would find it an "interesting" situation to be nosey about, totally un-called for in my opinion. Along with all the b*sterds of the media hawking every one for 'juicey info' They need to get a fecking grip and give the family and friends time to morn the loss of two young, friendly, bright and awesome people. Not having a personal dig but just in general people are to quick to stick their nose in and jump to conclusions. Rip
  5. Yes I do, and for the protection on humans.... "(d) the shooting of animals for the protection of other animals or humans" That's the wording on my cert.
  6. Yes, you can be lent a shotgun for up to 72 hours with out informing the chief constable, this still applies if you are under 18
  7. Aye bud, you do the 2 years as a skillseeker then do a year at nc then another yeard at hnc, employers will favour this as you will have the exactly the same qualifications as the hnc people at the end of the 4 years but you will have an extra 2 years over them which counts in your favour. Aye if you've got a placement and the estate is approved by the college I think it gaurentees a placement, well one off my mates has applied for this year and he said he has his placement already due to having an estate... ATB
  8. Aye I'm doing one the now like, they're pretty awesome! As long as your work and keep in line. I applied for the NC like everybody's else does, but when you go for an interview, if you are lucky enough to be accepted the will ask you if you would like to skill seekers which is a 4 year coarse as you get a further 2 years experience with the college which is a very good thing. Wear smart clothes to your interview, look sharp, firm hand shake and DO NOT MUMBLE! lol.
  9. Lucky for some eh? Won't go far wrong there mate, trust me . What you going for NC or skill seekers? If they offer you the skill seekers coarse take it, that way you get 2 years more experience over the nc/hnc boys. ATB and good luck
  10. Slip over neoprene cover, reduces the 'tingy' noise aswell, a tenner well spent if you ask me
  11. Just ask for all that you want, the worst they can say is no!... As for the reason for the calibers - FAC air - vermin control (add short range to this if you feel the need to), 17hmr - vermin control i.e long range rabbits and crows (some const. can be fussy about having a 17 for fox), 22lr vermin control (state that for when shooting big bags of rabbits the exspense of using the 17 is to grate and that tell the feo the price of bullets for the 17 and the 22 to that he understands where you are coming from), .223 for reason, again write vermin control as this will mean you can use it on all v
  12. You won't go wrong with a rilfe that fits you and 'feels' [bANNED TEXT] as you have said, as for the scope IMO I don't like big high mag scope's especially for small cal rifle's, I feel that you are always trying to 'out shoot' the rifle that way. We've got a hawke (can't rember which model) 3-9x40 cheap and cheerful you don'd need a big fancy scope for shooting rabbits at 150y, perfectly easy with 8x indeed. As for a mod SAK once again may be not the best available on the market now-a-days but cheap and cheerful, easily strip-able and easy to clean. All The Best
  13. Heard it, seen it all before. IMHO ferrets once lost/escaped if working do not take long at all to become totally wild, it is after all their natural instinct.
  14. Spot on . Will give the a bell, cheers mate!
