  2. my bitch yapped a few times when she had watched the other dog chasing and when it was her turn she yapped while chasing but never really missed i put it down to she didnt want to watch and was really excited although i was worried at the time, she does yap if she put something up in the trees but ive heard a few dogs do it it was not on rabbits though it was hare(shot &retrieved)
  3. a horizontal filament has a larger width across at the starting point of your beam!! a vertical filament is directing the light straight forward with a lesser width at the starting point of the beam!! the light you see at your spot is governed by how it is projected from the lamp through the bulb wich starts from the filament!! it was a suggestion to help him get a smaller spot!! if you start off with a smaller more directed light projection your going to create a smaller spot!! however wether or not this makes a big enough diffrence to help the lad out whos asking i dont know!! her

  9. scotty that dog looks well handy in the second pic he is only a pup yet just turned 8 month he was just over 7 month in the photo, we will see how handy he is next season
  10. started my bitch at 8 month thought it was the right time as she had been showing interest on the daytime bunnies for around a month she did well caught 1 or 2 out of 3 slips each time so she never got sickend she 3/4 bred saluki/grey she is a decent dog, although i have a saluki grey x bull grey dog pup 8month old and i wouldnt dream of entering him yet as he aint ready or mature enough yet.you can tell when its time to enter your dog imo
  11. i have put a wooly blanket on my bench bed and covered it with a old thick curtain and tacked it down tight with laths and nails right round the edges they cant pull it out or rip it up now
  12. that dog wants a good feed pal and some road work for them flat feet
  13. i have never tried the alpha racer but i have tried the alpha gold and alpha field nuggets they were ok i heard that alpha racer was good with high protein but i could not find any so got redmills racer+ and i mix with tripe or chicken mince
  14. some how i dont think so thats why the daytime hare killers go for silly money, maybe doubled up lamping your talking about??
  15. my bitch does well in small fields saluki/grey x whippet x 1/4bull x grey well thats what i was told she was (brindle) yhe other is better in large fields 1/4 saluki 1/8 whippet 5/8 grey (black) they both catch them where ever
  16. that is terrible them pups will be weak as f**k i wouldnt over do them with the walks why breed them if you cant feed them or just give them away free to good home instead of starving them
  17. i have a youg dog here waiting to be started,i know its the end of the season now and the bunnies are like rockets so to prevent sickening my young dog i will leave him until september time and let him catch the young easy ones 2/3 runs twice a week depending on how he comes on he is 8 month now when i start him he will be 14 month the longer you wait the better dog you will end up with imo, i did rush my other dog and it didnt pay off obedience and retrieve is more important than just rushing out for a catch
