  1. theyre lovely mate. i assume you'd be wanting to keep the diana then... thanks for that bill, thats given me some hope, i'm currently looking into a lincoln jeffries but i may hold out for an 'improved model d' cos that may be not too far off an ethical hunting power to start with. all the best, wurz
  2. yep, i tried to go out immediately after pumping my r10 up, couldnt shoot straight for 3 hours due to my arms trembling from the exertion and the asthma i developed... all the best, wurz
  3. nice write up mate, your ground looks a nice place to play in too all the best, wurz
  4. eh up lads, after spending a top afternoon in the company of an old lincoln jeffries model and a webley service mk2 i was wondering if anybody has used one for hunting at all? i realise that you'd need to tweak em up a bit as they shoot at around 6ft/lbs as standard so does anybody know if its possible to do so? i've just got romantic notions of wandering round my south downs shoot poppin bunnies with one of these old beauties, iron sights and all... all the best, wurz
  5. hi ya wurz your more than welcome buddy and i told you it was a good site to be on and now alot of the regs will get to know you and you will also be apart of a big family to buddy and did you the bsa forum aint working ? i went on it earlier and then just and it was down ? shay sorry mate, been one of those weekends, been all over the place so i didnt realise bsaog was down, it all seems ok now tho, just been on it. atb, wurz
  6. i'm another new un on here and as i've been away for a few days i missed the start of the post but felt i should add that this is one of the soundest sites i've found, due to all you fellas bein a bunch of very good natured piss takers, thanks for all help, tips and general banter to you all, especially to shay for helping to ease me in(errr )as it were... raisin a glass to you all fellas, cheers shay mate, wurz

  9. i run mine at 8x most of the time, but thats cos i'm too lazy to change it about and i'm used to it there now. if summats in close range then its not too blurred so it doesnt make much odds really, and if my targets within 5 yds then i'll club it to death with the stock instead...lol all the best, wurz

  16. so was it the missus or rabbits in the end shay? i got out while she did the tesco run earlier, shes good like that, but forgot the dogs lead so we got sod all... you cant ambush a bury when the dogs decided to try and bolt everything from the bury you fancied!! all the best, wurz
  17. definitley a paradox phantom, but i reckon that even if youu concentrated on 1 bury, you'd be unlikely to get all the infected rabbits so immunity wouldnt be wiped out, especially if you tried to leave the healthy, and probably immune rabbits alone whilst culling the sick uns? atb, wurz
  18. blimey shay, thats not too bad really then, tho i reckon on one of my permissions last year it was loads more than that, or at least the % of shot bunnies was!! hows the wobbley going buddy, ya happy with her still? i've just realised i can afford an ultra so i'm trying to persuade meself that i dont need one but i'm unsure how successfull i'll be there, be useful as a night gun for lamping from the motor all the best, wurz
  19. hi ya mate would love to see the pics, ill have a look when you have more time to put them up. mixy ay never good, had this around where i used to shot around 6-7 years ago, got that bad that it wasent worth taking the gun out, could almost run after them and neck them, it killed 90% of the bunnies off. there back with avengence now tho. im not shure theres alot more you can do once one has it and goes in to the ground and tucks its self in to bed with the rest of them, there going to get it. desposing of the ones you do shoot will help a little as there not then exsposing all the
  20. looks like a good time was had by all then!! i hear that a lad with a bsa actually won the competition but wasnt mentioned cos he wasnt shooting air arms! 68 out of 70's good by any standards but rules is rules atb, wurz
  21. well i went out with the dog n R10 over the weekend, just a couple of moochs whilst walking him really but we got one rabbit on each outing which would've been fine, we werent expecting owt considering it was about 4 pm each time, although the rabbits like a spot of afternoon sunbathing but theyre normally put off by the amount of dog walkers that get around the ground so you never can really tell whats gonna be about... anyhow, both rabbits suffering from major bouts of mixy, which trashed this permission at the end of last summer. i was hoping it might've died off a bit over the harsh winter
  22. blimey tony, youre a patient fella-if i have to wait longer than an hour i change position to just behind a bury entrance and wait to club the little beggers if they come out... ... so how do neils silencers work out then fellas, compared to the hw? they heavier? all the best, wurz
  23. blimey shay mate, you must have enough guns to start a war by now!!too long for me, i'd fall over forwards tryin to shoot from standing i reckon... let us know how she shoots you lucky bugger all the best, wurz
