well lads, i got fairly lucky last week on holiday in wales when i popped into abergavenny guns and tackle, the guy specialises in old airguns so what should i see on the wall but an old bsa 1939 't' series in .22 running at approx 11 ft/lbs with proper old iron sights! not quite what i was after(i want a .25 but theyre like hens teeth) but it'll definitely do the job, well, once i've got used to a proper heavy ol' trigger it will... i'll put up some photos later if anyones interested, once i've finished work this afternoon. funnily enough, i had a quick go with the R10 ready to go ra

gurtwurz replied to Phantom's topic in Airgun Hunting
Hi Wurz, I tried to get some FTT's today but the shop had none left So I left with a tin of AAF's and a tub of FX16's totalling nearly 25£ Wife is NOT impressed. John Darling reckoned that the Liver, heart and kidneys make a good pate' but I'm not one for that kind of thing. The meat of a kit taste's fantastic Taken me 40 years before I tried Beef Paste Sarnie's Thanks for the compliment re the write ups, I'll continue to do em while they are appreciated by so many I like to read and appreciate other peoples write ups as well, especially the detailed ones that place the rea -
i'd love to see young stoats playing, i think they're the most amazin mammal in britain. ive a fox as a rival up the valley, and he's almost yellow in colour, and possibly the biggest dog fox i've ever seen. dont think you can beat these encounters to be honest, even if they screw up your shooting session youre still well lucky to beout there seein em... nice read bill, grand shooting too mate all the best, wurz

i always enjoy yer writeups phantom mate, keep em comin, good pics too(i only ever remember my phone so mine are always grainy). i use H+Ns in my r10 and theyre great, not too pricey either. hadntconsidered stir fried kit but its an option if i do one of my stables which is zeo tolerance-i normally let the mutt have the kidneys liver and heart, well, what there is of em and sling the rest, although the missus has found a rabbit pate recipe which looks good all the best, wurz -

thanks lads @ stealthy, mate i know just what you mean, and luckily the missus doesnt mind me spending days and nights on end up there! @ phantom, to be honest it seems to shoot more like a real rifle, the recoils one way and she locks on as fast as you like, or it feels that way to me mate.. .oh yeah, at least the socks were hole free eh lol @ shay, cheers matey, i'll let you know how the evo goes over the next few trips with her-hows that ultra buddy? bet it becomes your most used 'just pick up n go shootin' gun over the next few months mate! all the very best, wurz

well i been kinda busy over the last week or so, went to bisley for an open day last saturday where i spent the day shooting 1000yd target rifles in 7.62(nice groups, all in the bull),single shot m16 clones(alright, but not that nice a gun to be honest) and my favourite rifles of all, the mighty .303 smle and mk4 lee enfields(yum!!)before hitting the vintage airguns and bell target shootingwhich has awoken a desire to hunt with an old lincoln jefferies(if i can find one in .25)... went to wales to work the newport tattoo show, and came back to an offer i couldnt refuse-did i want a theoben ev
