  7. they are both hanging outside the farmhouse door shay.i think my mate is of his work tomorrow and he has one of the digital cameras,i'll see if he can get a pic or two for me and stick them up as well "i am pretty hopeless at all that stuff in fact i'm ashamed to admit i dont have a bloody clue" all the best John
  8. hi guys,i think this is the first time i have ever written a post so bear with me,my evening started with my mate mattie picking me up and we headed down to a 300 acre permission that we have.this evening we weren't going lamping for rabbits though we had geese in mind.we parked the pick up two fields away and hopped the railway line, the gees were on the other side of the line in a field that has a hollow in it.we sat and waited tucked into the embankment for over half an hour as they didnt take flight till 5.45 which was later than saturday.they took of into the wind and by luck or judgement
  9. nice write up shay.good job with the fox.saw one earlier tonight myself when out lamping from the pick up.couldn,t get him as all i had with me was the .22lr and a shottie, knew i should of taken the .270.saw him at about 200 yards and he was off over the railway line like a shot, crafty bugger.if i see him tomorrow night i am going to get him. atb John p.s. 8 nice rabbits tonight
  10. hi guys,i have quite a few rifles air and powder but i get no better buzz than taking a rabbit at 35yards with my old battered diana 34s.not the most expensive and certainly not the best looking but still an accurate killing tool.far too much gun snobbery these days atb John
  11. hi BB,i have the gunpower storm, found it to be ok out of the box.but being a fettler i changed most things on it.leupy spring and hybrid hammer, leupy valve stem and top hat and various other mods including the "o" ring mod which quitens it substantially.i found it to be quite loud at the muzzle out of the box so i put a sak rimfire silencer on it.now it shoots quiet and with the big buddy bottle get countless shots from it.that said i do own a hw100 which i use mainly.you will find a lot of people slate storms/stealths without trying a sorted one.my advice see if someone local to you will let
  12. scottish highlands.hunters paradise
  13. hi mate.my understanding is that a pcp is to be filled with nothing other than compressed air.people who have filled guns with pure oxygen and believe it or not hydrogen have found this out to their cost.ie it can kill.although co2 isnt flammable my advice would be dont do it.stick to air mate wouldnt want to lose a hand or worse all the best John
  14. Tony your a top bloke .all the best from me and mine.chin up buddy atvb John
