  1. Hi guys.... Well....Myself and festa ventured out on Sunday night to our permission for a mid xmas holidays lamping session. Arriving at a new part of our permission we'd never tried before at around 3am. In -5 degree conditions we wrapped up and headed out. The first steps into the snow covered field sent the 6-7 bunnies that were there fleeing for cover. I'm not surprised, we sounded like a batallion of soldiers on the march! We both decided it would be better to camp up by the railway embankment and see what arose. Wor kid decided to have a mooch about the field next door as I

  4. will your buddy bottle not fit on the side of the air cylinder mate?? If you remove the whip and adapter you may find it screws on the side of the bottle, I found that out with my S10. As for refilling if the air ranger is regulated (Im not sure!) then you should average around 180-200 shots without a refill Darryl
  5. Here's a small file explaining the best I can about mildot reticles..... Darryl Rangefinding using a mildot reticle.doc
  6. Being in the military it comes as a sort of second nature mate. Using known distances to assist in rangefinding..... Just think of a football pitch.....from goal line to 18 yard box, double it brings you to the outer ring of the centre circle, add 15 brings you to the centre spot. So when you're in a field pick a point in the distance and imagine yourself stood on the goal line, draw in your mind half a football pitch, split that into your outer ring and 18 yard box and that will more or less give you a basic idea of distance! However I know Si(Zini) uses both a gun mounted laser an

  9. There's been Various chats on the forum recently about spring rifles. "which should i buy?"-"are cheap springer's any good, will they do?" I "borrowed" this from another forum, I hope this info helps others new into the sport!! The Spring powered air rifle Spring powered air rifles, contrary to popular believe are a marvel of engineering. It's not simply about a spring forcing a piston along a cylinder, which in turn forces the pellet out of the end of your rifle. It's a complex procedure of combustion and engineering. How does it work? When we slip the trigger on a spring

  16. well done on getting ya first ferret mate! I haven't had much experience with mating them tbh but what I can tell you from reading all the great info on here is there can be complications and even death if they are not brought "out of season" as they stay in season unless they are "seen to!!" Ways round this are:- a. You can take them to a vet for an injection b. You can mate them with a vasectomised hob c. you can mate them and let her have kits You should then have a happy healthy ferret! Darryl
