  1. I second that mate..... As long as you can make a clean humane kill at any distance if you're happy within yourself to do it then fair play to you. Personally I enjoy the thrill of the stalk as well as the long range shots so dont worry about it. Try and set yourself some goals and contrary to belief, practice doesnt make you perfect (there's no such thing as perfect!!) but it will make you better!! Darryl
  2. What area you running Moe?? No sign of mixy where we are over Tynedale way (thank god!!) Darryl
  3. Nice going lads!! Our next trip out will be between xmas and New year..... Have a good one all!! Darryl
  4. Again it's all down to personal preference. The best advice I can give you is if possible get out to your local gun shop or arrange to meet someone and try both options and see which one YOU prefer. Only then will you be satisfied in yourself you made the right choice Darryl
  5. Seems like some good constructive criticism there to me. Common sense should prevail here, Si isn't going to get it right first time, it's his first production and has filmed it without the aid of any "professional" equipment or assistance so obviously don't expect professional quality. If anyone has any ideas on how to improve both quality and content for the next one I'm sure Si would welcome any suggestions As for other people I suggest comments are kept to a constructive manner on the subject in topic instead of a personal nature Darryl
  6. Mate in my opinion it's all down to personal preference. I used a bipod with my vmached 97k with no problems at all to accuracy. It just so happens it's not the "done thing" with most springer users. Good luck with whatever you decide Darryl
  7. nice one mate... Knew you wouldn't disappoint p.s I'll have my copy of the DVD after crimbo Darryl
  8. Not that you miss very often mate bur I think it would make a better and more honest film if you did include them. It shows a learner even an experienced hunter can miss Darryl
  9. :clapper: I'd put a bet on it he'd keep trying till he could though Darryl
  10. Nice going lads! Not like you to miss such an easy shot though Si!! I was going to try and get out for an hour or so tonight but had my company christmas party last night, and after a LOT of FREE and am a bit on the delicate side today  Darryl
  11. It's like them killer squirrels from over the water..... http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/weird-world/2009/01/21/killer-squirrels-watch-out-here-comes-mirror-co-uk-s-top-10-squirrel-attacks-115875-21059632/
  12. I think they could well be for that price mate.... They come delivered in a plain brown box with "Riflescope" written on it..... they take quite a bit of packing under the rear mount to bring it in to zero but as both Zini and I have proved going off our previous hunting posts....they do work Darryl
  13. I have some too....good bit of kit Darryl
  14. MIne are trained to the sound of the shed keys..... they hear them rattling and think they are gonna get fed so come running if they are stubborn to come out of a hole Darryl
  15. I'd say 2.b fits into Zinis category like a glove... Try checking out the rest of his posts, the distances and points of impact for a clean kill are second to none. I'm not just saying this cos he's a mate just due to the fact of his sheer marksmanship skills that have led to the "extreme" number of kills Darryl
  16. Sounds good mate! Pm me your mobile number and we'll arrange something Darryl
  17. Some of ours are white mate... doesnt make one bit of difference.... Darryl
  18. We got one mate....fiddly to start with till you get used to it and the depth gauge isnt always right but it's a nice bit of kit Darryl
  19. cheers mate, this would be helpful! No probs mate...just giz a shout when needed Darryl
