Gulls apart from the Lesser Black-backed Gull are illegal to shoot in England under the general licence unless the correct licence has been obtained (which I hope you had!!) otherwise I'd remove this post to save yourself the grief mate! Darryl

I would wrap it up well with bubble wrap then cardboard then more bubble wrap and post it special delivery mate. that way you know it will get to whoever you are sending it too as they have to sign for it and should the inevitable happen it's insured for up to £500 Darryl

what wor kid says mate..... if it has the circular cover on slide it off and if you look just behind the blade there should be a small indentation where you will find a small grub screw, you will probably need to use a precision screwdriver to get into it, undo that then very gently with a plastic hammer or similar tap towards the front of the barrel until it slides off.
