    I managed to get a decent finish at work today, so after driving back to the North East from Ipswich and although the wife isnt too happy I too my 2 daughters shooting for the first time! They cant quite grasp the position and hold of the rifle properly yet but we'll get there. zeroed at 30M at my target area we had a bit of plinking fun.....     Just spoken to him on the phone......well....looks as though the scopes are cattle trucked! Initially lost lateral adjustment but he said he lost vertical too then the scope lens cracked..... Not good! Luckily I gave him my Richter Optiks at a bargain family price so he isnt out the game altogether! Darryl

    A late start saw us off to our Cumbria permission at 0030hrs arriving at 0120hrs. After the hassle wor kid had with his scopes he managed to get them zeroed in his garden to 10M before we went so some adjustment to the desired 30M was in order. Unfortunately wor kid is still having the same problem whereas at full right windage he's still hitting 5 mildots to the left. So after shimming and reshimming neither of us could get it right, so it's either the scopes at fault or the mounts! Anyway, wor kid said "Get yourself away for a mooch and I'll see if I can do owt more with these".

    But mother and infant arent doing too well......mainly due to an AAF headache! Popped out tonight for an hour to my local permission, still well overrun with thistles so moving around wasnt exactly quiet! I wasnt 20 yards into the field, flicked the lamp and saw 2 bright rubys sitting side by side at an estimated 45-50M, an adult and juvenile. Dimming the lamp so I could just see the glimmer I attempted to stalk closer, hopefully to within zero distance but it wasnt to be.....I think I made it 5 or 6M when the adult one stood right up as though it knew I was there....     How do sports fans!!! well after getting my rifle back from A & M again after a barrel problem (which was expertly sorted by the way!!)wor kid rang and asked if we were going out..... Well, what could I say....."Of course"...."Great pick you up at 10! he said!
