  1. Can't give sp's on my phone mate but cracking shot and a hell of a way to christen it Darryl
  2. Page 65 of airgun world Nov 2010 Final Quote from the mag"Lubing pellets-should you?? I'd say yes, give pellet lube a try. It won't turn your .177 into a .17HMR or your .22 into a rimfire, but it will give that slight improvement in accuracy, velocity and BC(ballistic coefficient) and that's not something to turn your nose up at, is it?? I always do mine and use a few drops of Napier pellet lube per tin Darryl
  3. After Bill mate..... Well you do have to "thank for what you are about to receive" after all Darryl
  4. No wonder I can't get any points when you're out shooting during " working" hours. Good job I make up for it at the weekends Darryl
  5. :clapper: Not the only one who's a true gent mate. Now that's what this forums all about!!! Well done Si, I'm sure Owen will be over the moon when he receives it Darryl
  6. Firstly welcome to the site mate! Some good advice there.....As there always is on here!! Try contacting DavyT or spike25blue off here, as they are selling a very very good silencer called the Twink MKII by A & M Custom Gunsmiths for a very good price and will transform your Ultra no end and also leave you plenty change for a decent scope. Keep us informed with your decisions mate as we'd all like to know how youre getting on, also a nice writeup and some photos of your exploits would be good too  Darryl
  7. cheers mate SP's are "slut points" Full explanation here..... http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/174549-what-is-spa/ Darryl
  8. no probs Paul If it helps more print off an average sized rabbit target and place it at the separate distances Place the crosshair on the killzone and then measure the mildots against the size of the target at each given distance, this will also give you a rough idea of the distance to each target Although please bear in mind the size of the rabbit and how it is sitting will matter but should still give you a general idea Darryl
  9. You should know better and should keep off that Magners BEFORE you go shooting mate.....Too many of them makes it look like theres loads...... Na....For those of you who think I'm serious.....DON'T!! All's good with Davy Keep at em nate! Darryl
  10. i went and sighted it in and was spot on at about 40 yards..which i can do really tight groups i just cant seem to guess the distance either further or shorter ranges atb ok mate, what you need to do is find yourself plenty room to go from your zero range up to 45-50M (or at whatever distance YOU are comfortable with and guaranteed a definate kill) set the ranges out in 5m increments Try zeroing at 10m to start and then move back and zero again at 25 or 30m instead of 40. From there move back in the 5m increments taking each shot at the bull, keep the crosshairs on the centr
  11. :clapper: Nice one Tony.... Theres a few of "I have got a rifle and I'm going to kill something" and "Oh!... I can hit that no problem" people about very lately. As long as the guy doesnt want to listen to you mate I'd continue doing what ya doing. I mean you said you never loaded the rifle....did the guy even ask or wonder why he missed?? If not it says it all really! Darryl
  12. Hats off to ya mate! I thought the same about HFT till I had a go at the AA meet. It's more or less proof to yourself you can do it in any given situation and the satisfaction when you see that plate fall. You'll have to let us know when the meet will be mate so me n wor kid can venture down Darryl
  13. when you say you cant get on with it what do you mean??? If your scope is zeroed properly with ANY rifle then there shouldnt be any issues. I hear people saying they need to "get used" to shooting after changing from one calibre to the other but like I said if the rifle is zeroed at whatever range you choose to zero at and the scope/mildots are calibrated properly( yes...understandably the holdover on the .22 will be slightly greater due to the trajectory path) then there really shouldnt be an issue Darryl
  14. depends how far you want to go into it Both wor kid and myself use the Deben Tracer Max with a dimmer switch fitted, and theyre cheaper than the price of the Ledrays etc OK, so theyre a big lump to have on the rifle size wise, but they weigh practically nothing. one of the best purchases I've made mate, fully recommend them http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Deben-Tracer-Max-Pro-12V-400m-Kit-FREE-FILTER-/280459966156?pt=UK_SportingGoods_Hunting_ShootingSports_ET&hash=item414cb776cc Darryl
  15. thought rust added to the character??? :whistling: Darryl

  17. Went up and asked them if they could use the rabbits that i get off my other permission and ended up helping them out with pest control. Winner THe best way to get permission mate...well done  Darryl

  21. Well guys, the weather isn't looking too good for me n wor kid this weekend . Strong winds yet again and more rain. Don't mind a little of either but 35mph gusts just isn't on Even round our ratting permission wasn't looking good last week ..... What to do!!! Hopefully it will calm a bit tonight... I got an itchy trigger finger after being away all week! Darryl
  22. Someones missing off that list.....,I don't like to be left out  ;) Darryl
  23. Si mate... Putting it politely....f*** them!!! I for one as well as a lot of the regulars on here appreciate you taking the time to do what you do. At the end of the day it is what it is...... A review!!! Would they write into an airgun mag and give th such abuse if they reviewed something??.... I think not!! All you have done here is give your input and demonstration into the silencer Market and show that there are other silencers out there that are level pegging with the big names out there At the end of the day people have the freedom of choice in what they buy but more like
