  8. Howdy folks.... Well after doing a deal with Rushty off here I'm now the proud owner of a .22 HW100 Sporter with an awesome looking walnut stock & another Yukon Sentinel NV scope. The guy is a true gent and I'd gladly deal with him again. He even went as far as to arrange a rat shoot for me n wor kid so I could test the rifle and it performed great with us both taking about a dozen rats in about an hour. Here it is..... and the lovely walnut stock... When I got it home I noticed a few rust marks on the barrel so set about straight away curing the disease by a basi
  9. Cheers Simon.... I'm busy doing a post of what I bought to replace it but yes it's been a great rifle and never missed a beat. THe ad had only been on the forum minutes when I received my first offer, I'm waiting for him to get back to me after my counter offer, but it is a bargain for what it is and I'll definately miss it. Should the need arise I'd definately have another S10 though Darryl

  12. Cheers mate! You're a top bloke! I know youre sad to see it go but it's gone to a great home and will account for may a rat and bunny. Thanks again for the short ratting session and yes I'm still jealous! Darryl
  13. Looks sweet mate..... I take it mine n wor kids invite will be in the post soon ;) Darryl
  14. From what I heard he was in big trouble for repairing/modifying rifles without the necessary paperwork/ authorisation by law with reference to being an RFD but heard nothing since Darryl
  15. Is it quite quiet? YAWN!!!!!...... Suppose your going to rip one of these apart now too???
  16. Give the Daystate Rangemaster Li's a go mate. At £9.20 a tin, They're 14.3gr, deadly accurate and hard hitting. I used to use both AAF & FX pellets but now really favour the Daystate. The best thing you can do is keep trying till you find the ones that suit your barrel. Make sure you clean with a pull through(start at the breech and pull to end of barrel) for every pellet change. Then allow sufficient pellets through to relead it. Then test for accuracy. Bit of a pain in the arse but better done right for the right results Darryl
  17. Give Adi at A&M custom gunsmiths a call mate. He can make you anything to your specifications. Tell him Darryl told you to call and see what he can do for you Darryl
  18. Well done on a great end to unfavourable conditions Darryl
  19. The 2.5x is fine mate.... I think my write-ups show that. Still wouldn't mind trying a doubler though. But some say it affects the quality of the Image Darryl
  20. Yukon Sentinel 2.5x50 mate.....really is a top bit of kit! Darryl Glad you put that - im thinking of buying one - what extrsa illumination do you use?? I don't use any mate ..... I did have the Yukon 100mW but it proved useless compared to the built in one so I sold it to Andy&Archie off here. On a clear night The built in one in mine is good for 100m+ detection and 60m for clear recognition They're a great buy. If you search the reviews section I done a review on one when I first got mine. It might sway your decision. Darryl
  21. I've now changed to the new Daystate Li's 14.3gr in .22....theyre devastatingly accurate..... Darryl
  22. Good on you Sean..... WE understand it's hard...we've all been there. It was by no means deformation of your character, just the way the attitude was towards what you were doing, as being a case of "I'm gonna do what I like when I like!". All we're trying to do is help you on the right path then you wont have anything to worry about. If you do a search on the forums you'll find info about how to get permission, the forms you need, advice on insurance and how to conduct yourself etc Darryl
  23. Ste, Adi converted the barrel on my S10 I had at the meet from a full length to the size it is now and the accuracy is as good as the shooter, give him a bell and I'm sure he'll be able to help you Darryl
