The thing is mate when you breed say a saluki greyhound x whippet greyhound or any mix for that matter i dont think you will get equall % of the breeds that you put in. the x i mentioned. you cant garentee that you will have 1/2 grey 1/4 saluki 1/4 whippet they may throw to any dogs. just my view.
His dog is only a pup not quite ready for work by the sounds of it. rest her mate i no its hard and you want to gt out and do something but it will benefit you for next season. you may run the risk of her opening up other wise or worse. not running the beam at all
The best thing in my eyes to do is put the dog up until next season mate, let him mature and become an adult give him loads exersize over the summer then try him next winter. i wouldnt worry too much to be honest its still only young. good luck
