If it was a fast dog that Hare would have been caught at least 5 mins earlier. You must have a necklace of these pearls of Knowledge. Get over yourself. It's when a dog hasn't got the speed to catch the Hare and just tries to block it's escape.....it's what you call a clever experienced dog keeping quarry in the field nothing to do with no speed at all seen it done by a good few dogs with plenty of speed and stamina one of them won the calendar Coursing club a few years back

This pup came of the man himself, hasnt seen much. I have also heard they can be slow to go, before anybody jumps at me I will say again I HEARD lol but when they do go that's it, they are great terriers!don't worry about what people say about it it will do the job you want it for no matter what when brought on right off that breeding
