    Mick A new comer to the sport is nothing to hide, I bought my first Lurcher last year and replied on tons of info from the lads, Now I only feel half as stupid when it comes to Lurchers

    There is plenty you can do, this is one way of keeping them off your water. Some time ago I was on a river over in the west of Ireland, four Roma's were fishing not too far away from us, locals were on site within minutes and redesigned their cars for them, I think they started out with a fiesta and ended up driving a mazda , car was wrecked. I am not telling you to damage cars, but the only way to stop them from killing your local water is to make them suffer Financially, they dont understand when you explain to them the rules of the water, but when it comes to parting with money the

    If he is that bad and you want to enjoy your holiday then kennel him for the two weeks. Them collars work, but not on all dogs, so do you take the chance and bring him and hope the collare works, or kennel him knowing you will enjoy your family holiday, after all he is only a dog, remember that.

    Not sure if this water is a fly only venue, if so a lure fished deep will kill then all the time, if you are allowed to use other methods then I would suggest spinning a minnow, this method is deadly for rainbows.
