Poor old thing, nice looking bitch, lots of TLC and warm salty water. Looks very much like my own bitch.

Reason I ask this question is because my pup is a flying machine. I was out other nite with both dogs, now my bitch is not slow by any standards, quick to say the least. But when I was doing a spot of light training with them the pup was out running her every time. How fast can a lurcher run? has this been ever clocked?, and what would be classed as a fast time say over 100 meters for a lurcher?

Good read SC. She done this before while out hunting, she was in pursuit of a bunny, then she went off the radar for ten minutes, and returned with a live hare, crazey bitch. Macker, if I have a vixen under the shed then its time for Keith and his wonder dog

This morning I went to bring the dogs for a walk and discovered that my bitch was loose in the garden, which was a total surprize to me. My kennels are not built just yet, so I have to chain them to there kennels at night and releses them in the morning. Anyway I found the remains of a Hare in the garden this morning, I had a closed look at my bitch and she had been out in the fields on her own, paws dirty and chest full of muck. Joe I tried same but no luck, tried a few shops, told to buy new scope. I rang Leapers, thats the crowd who made my scope, no joy, good luck pal.

I think I answered this one some time ago, a friend of mine had the same prolem with his bitch the wound opend three times on him, he spoke to some greyhound men and the wound is now healed, try send a pm to reynadrhunter, I am sure he will put you right.

Never ever follow a dog that wont retrieve, all you are teaching it is to keep a safe distance from you when he has taken quarry, my bitch went a bit mad for awhile, she refused to hand deliver the bunnies to me, she would stay about ten yeards away from me and I soon learned that to ignore her, she did'en like been ignored and came in. I would also try a wee bit a lure training again, this worked for me, a wee treat to start off with and then when you have him going strong on the lure cut back on the treats, worked for me.
