  4. Webley and Scott bolt action .410, no longer used so I decided I would rather sell it for someone to get the use out of it. Very clean and smooth, small scratches on the stock from where the stock met my pocket button rubbed on it. Pictures can be sent, can't upload at the current moment in time, Rikki

  7. Testing the water here as I don't want to let it go but I think its about time! .... I've got a Benjamin Sheridan .22 also know as the Benjamin Buccaneer. Unfortunatly I left it for about a year and the seals perished. Replaced all the seals but when it came to using it again the 88g gas bottle it put into it simply just emptied itself in about 2 seconds, its now been taken apart and I've had a good look at it. I BELIEVE it needs a new valve assembly and possibly a new adapter assembly, all avalible of Chambers Gunmakers. (however I put a cheap brass eagle 88g bottle into when your meant t

  12. Where you from mate? I'm on the iPhone so I can't see! Rik
  13. Also take into equation about your eye dominance, Im left handed and shoot with a right castes gun, does me no harm at all, rather then getting a left handed gun see if you can find an ambidextrous (straight stock) atb with it. Rikki
  14. I'm not sure what you are reading . . . . but may i suggest a change of literature? When a ferret is scared etc, it stinks like buggery. A good worker, really works, they are BOD's (bolt or die), and will scour that warren from top to bottom. Most (not all) ferrets will enter, and so bolt a few, but not all will really 'work'. It's all in the breeding and to some extent the entering. Fair enough, seems like ive been reading the wrong stuff! thanks for the advice and clearing that up.. ATB Rikki
  15. When does the season start for you guys and gals? On my local permisson myself and a friend have been shooting big buck rabbits for the last couple of weeks and I'm itching to get ferreting! are they still to doughy and milky? thanks rikki
  16. I do agree, its just something i have personally read and have decided to share dont shoot the messager !
  17. what i read (god knows where now) is that a ferret that has been victimized produces no natural smell and therefor is not as good at ferreting, its the unusall smell of the 'predator' that the rabbit can smell, apprently anyways. Rik
  18. i gut the rabbits, simply cause i hate the smell of the 's**t bag'. i keep the heart, liver and kidneys. they seem to make bedding out of the fur as well and manage to skin the rabbits themselves!
  19. i clear and gear the same day, let the rabbits settle for 10-15mins then stick the ferret down, my theory is if they've got a ferret up their arse there gunna move regardless atb Rikki
  20. I got a few ferrets of my grandad who has them given them to him from his neighbour. Apprently the little girl who owned them lost interest, so by sounds of it the ferrets had never worked or seen a rabbit in their lifetimes. Anyhow i thought i'd give them ago and try working them, the pair of them work a treat, but after alot of reasearch it turns out that its the smell of the ferret that make the rabbit bolt, not just it biting it on the backside. (ive always wondered why when i stick the ferreting down one end of the set a rabbit would bolt at the other) So what makes the better workers?
  21. Where abouts in Kent are you mate? I've got some decoys could possibly swap... Rikki
