Well it's about time I let it go, It's been sitting in my cabinet for too long and it's selfish keeping it (That's what I have to keep telling myself) It doesn't have a butt pad on it simply because I took the adjustable pad off it and put it on another gun of mine. Its a cracking gun, it served me well and ill be sad to see it go. Single selective trigger, ejector. Fixed choke, not too sure of chokes or barrel length just yet. I will measure later. It does have a light surface abrasion which I have shown in the photos. Also the fore end is what I like to say is 'loose'. It also stiff

Is Anyone Shooting Steel Shot Here?
03milesR replied to bbjaccov5's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
Putting the argument of lead and steel and which is better a side for a minute. When you go on a pheasant shoot and you have the old boys shooting with their 100 year old English heritage guns, the damage done to the bore of them guns with be huge. Thus destroying and ruining any use of any older gun. I know my rough gun which I use for pigeons couldn't handle the toughness of steel. It would be ripped to shreds. -
Hello all. I'm looking at getting a semi auto as a treat to myself I've looked at the 2 autos within my budget and it comes down to Armsan and Hatsan. Now before anyone tells me I can get better, please be aware that I'm after a left handed auto. And for what I feel is a unfair reason the prices of a better known make is either more expensive or unavailable to left handers. So whats your opinions? anyone got or had either?

Help. Shotgun Opening/closing Lever Problem.
03milesR replied to 03milesR's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
perfect, thanks guys. should'nt cost too much for the gunsmith to do so then? -
Hello all. I've got a o/u 12g shotgun. I've got a problem with it. When I open it, it can sometimes (more often then not) reset/close the opening lever. Also, when the gun is broken, I can physically push the level back to the closed position. I'm not pushing with any force ad usually I do it accidentally when carrying or loading then gun. Being a cack handed lefty my handed are all over the place. Has anyone ever had this problem or knows of it's solution? Would be great if I knew where to stand with it. Cheers

Looking Forward To An Afternoon On The Crows
03milesR replied to drakeshead gunner's topic in Pigeon Shooting & Decoying
I'd eat anything apart from any animal or bird that eats any kind of meat. Normally with crows it's dead and decaying, rotting meat. That's what puts me of even trying them -
Yeah or when your on the phone to your mrs!

Looking Forward To An Afternoon On The Crows
03milesR replied to drakeshead gunner's topic in Pigeon Shooting & Decoying
Yeah I'm left handed and it annoys me that you have to pay more for left handed guns. I currently shoot with a Rizzini o/u multi choke. It's right handed but I've got used to it. I'm on the crows tomorrow and might have to use the black socks trick -
As previously said, crow as so smart that it they see you set up, they won't come near. I had a brief go on the crows yesterday, but I only started with a few and then added to pattern with the ones I shot. If there's bails in the field then push a few together and just put your net across the front. As for the ghost camo, I've got them, I love them, but I do think there too think also, but the key is keeping still. The eye sight of crows are I e of the best, and to fool them into decoying is an art. But once their fooled, you will find you will have a cracking day. P.s with your decoys,

Well just went to local permission tonight after work seeing as the nights are lasting longer I thought I'd give it a go. Not much about, just the odd rabbit that was out of range and a few pigeons. Nothing worth screaming about. However it was getting late, so I decided to call the old man over and take one last walk then make a move home. Looking down the field I see this pigeon rocketing towards us. I was stood in grass so long I just took a knee and that's it, I was covered. God know where the father was, I was focusing on the bird. Peeping through the grass blind I see it flair ever so sl

Just to add, it's wooden 'milbro' style with double gold therabands.

Sorry for the question but I'm seeking some advice... Just got given a catapult of a friend, but due to never really using one, I don't really know how to use it. Now some folk talk about over the top or through the forks. How do I know which is which? and if so whats the technique? I'll accept the odd p**s taker but ill cry if theres too much so please be nice Cheers in advance,

We all have to learn from somewhere. And from what I've learnt is that trail and error is the best way. I've read a million books, threads, forums and watched enough videos on pigeon decoying to last me a life time, yet as soon as I got out in the field I had no idea. And yes I think about financially thoughts about getting a pet is a good idea, but if someone offered you something for free and then another asked you to pay. What would you do? Like he says, there's plenty enough people we know through family and friends that would happily take the kits from us, but they sure as hell would

Now this is just a question, It may be a silly one but it may save me some money.. I have 4 air pro pigeons, with the spinning wings ect. I can only use 2 on my magnet obviously, but I'm looking at crow decoying. Now would it work if I were to spray paint the 2 spare air pro decoys I have black, and use them as flying crows on the magnet? And perhaps a big decoy owl and the magnet just to the side, to show them 'mocking/attacking' it?
-
well I think I'll leave it for the time being them thanks

I brought brought myself a 2 speed pigeon magnet, obviously 2 speed. What I was wondering is, what speed do you have on windy days, rainy days and windless days? Any advice would be appricated Thanks in advance, Rikki

Hi all. I'm looking at getting myself a rifle, possibly a .22lr. And even a 5+ semi auto shotgun. So what I would like to know, is what is the general process? Obviously applying for it is the first step. But what can I do to prepare for the application? I've already got a SGC, a cabinet I could fit rifles in and a lot of permission which people already shoot rifles on. I'm in Kent so it would be Kent Police dealing with the application. Thanks for any help in advance.. Regards, Rikki

Ive been looking at getting myself some FUD pigeon decoys, just see what the crack is, and for the first time ever it's actually cheaper to buy them from my local gunshop then of eBay! £21 for 6 isn't too bad! Anyone else had this or just me?
-
And I would cut it in half for £30, if that sounds fair?
