  8. i have worked teckel, prt, bloodhounds and all kinds of hpr with jagds and had no problems as all of the dogs were well socialised working dogs(who SHOULD have solid nerves which making them steady to distractions). i know of no breed that will not tolerate other breeds if brought up correctly. all dogs need watching.if i had a pack of yorkshire terrier i woul not leave them alone around food etc. all of the mystery around the jagd terrier is somewhat confusing to me,its a working bred dog with a good prey drive.bred from fox terriersxmanchester terriers and some other breeds after the
  9. quote name='busterdog' date='12 February 2010 - 08:01 PM' timestamp='1266004885' post='1438389'] The chocolate colour is a recessive fualty gene, both parents must carry the same fault. Its time to give up lads when you are more interested in the colour than the graft. I would never keep a chocolate dog again given the choice, to much is being made of it as a fashion item at the minute. I know you've had chocolate before but it does boil my piss this colour thing. 10. crackin post, glad every thing worked out
  11. well ive only met ken a few times, i wouldn't call him someone i know, only met, but he always seemed like nice bloke who liked to work his dogs and see them worked. We would all like to say i bred myself and this guy was there doing it, maybe if the men he sold to didn't breed from dogs they brought [bANNED TEXT] they were tested fully this thread wouldn't have turned in to a witch hunt.
  12. why? Do you want to see next years show winners? who really gives a what colour they are? I've read they're going to be the next big thing and thats the reason folk are breeding shit to shit, I normally just read posts and odd reply but for fcuks sake its not the colour that makes a working dog! If you think it is i apologise you're on the wrong site , I hope!!
  13. every dogs different, they'll go when they ready
  14. nice looking dog, hope he comes on well for you.
  15. why would you want to? why not put over another good working pat or working earthdog? I think theres a bit of obsession at min about putting bull in to everything! I can understand every few generations if and thats the main word "IF" you need to.
  16. After a few of the threads on here lately I thought I'd share an experience with you, last week I posted on here looking for a picture, well I recieved a few replies and one was from "Spade end" saying he had one for sale. After a few pm's we agreed on a price and i said I would post him english cash from here and he could post it to my parents in uk. Well he said he would post yesterday and today it arrived, i sent his cash yesterday too but obviously its going to take a little longer to arrive, but on trust he sent the picture and like wise me with cash. Just to show there are still good ho
