    I actually posted about these on another forum after friday night ,got the cci subs last week to try them bought 200 .Went out to try them for zero before going after some rabbits ,out of 30 shots at targets i had 6 shots that sounded like HV rounds then when rabiting nearly had the same again while after the rabbits .The accuracy didnt seem to bad although i missed a few that i swear i should of had but the Hv sounding rounds really pissed me off.

    hey Picardy tried again tonight with the magnums and although only practiced about 18ys after 10 shots had a nice 1/2 inch hole then got 8 rats

    ive got the old dm80 mate the longer over barrel one ive had it a couple of years and its soild. ive had the whisper and tryed new dm80. ive had sak and a carbon rimfire mod and the old dm80 is better. Cheers for that Jamie have been getting mixd reviews on them.

    Slightly of topic Jamie but how do you find the dm80 mod on your 17 have a sak the now but again looking for something quieter although have been told that the higher end 1s arent that much better than the sub £100 1s

    Cheers Mr Logic I have actually tried an Mtc on my mates 17hmr and upto about 150 yds seems ok clearness wise (not tried beyond that) however hes only had it 2 weeks and wasnt sure whether they were more for airrifles .Im not 100% happy with my simmons 6.5-20x44 scope and was thinking of a change soon.(just researching while on hols and got some spare time) thx in advance Billy.

    Tried there magnum range a good few months back werent shooting as well as my other pellets at the time thru my hw100s ,will try them again soon for the rats as they are slightly heavier.

    Are the Mtc and Nikko Sterling scopes any good for 17 hmr and centrefire. Which is best of 2 everyones opinion welcome.

    The 22-250 certainly packs the punch I hoped it would have and I like not having to really think about holdover....just point and aim upto 300 yards! I hope to get a C/F soon but just lovin the step up from air rifle to bullet gun the now the best ive done is a 120ish yd fox with my 17hmr.

    Well done dave you managed to go 1 better than me,me and my mate had went up to 1 of our permissions at the request of the farmer to do a bit of ratting with the air rifles.On getting there he was still out and about as a cow had just calved so we went to our range in 1 of his fields and had a wee bit of practise with our 17hmrs(my mtes only had his a few weeks and still getting a feel for it).After everything had went quiet we went to the bit where the farmer had sited the rats but after an hour we only got 1 shot of(the weather was terrible tho)so we had a quick look under the chicken barn w

    I may be stepping out of line here but on a few other sites theres a split between shooters and shooters ,1's that wont use less than a german sope and1's that do the same job with lesser equipment

    When my mate was still keepering I used to get him scaffold mesh for there poult pens ,kept the poult in and ost predators out.

    I use a 6.5x20x44 on my 17 hmr but usually only use from 8x20 for spotting and the 6.5 for shooting unless is a long range buny etc hat im not seeing right at 6.5 ,although would really like to try 1 of these high end fixed german scopes to see how good they are.

    Tried 1 of these guys about 2 yrs ago when a mate had a loan of 1 ,if it had been multi shot i may even have thought of buying 1.Was pretty accurate and silent but a bit fiddly at night to load

    not read all he replies but is there a screw on the mag adjuster if so lossen this then turn the magto desired def .had same prob with a second hand rifle a few years back.(might not be same prob)

    Agree with davyt BS really nice shooting if is on your permission and congrats but if its on the next farm not worth losing such a great rifle for the price of a rabbit
