  1. There you go http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_ss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=out+of+town I have them and they're great to watch. Bring back memories of my childhood when I first saw them Cheers sib
  2. Si - that's a cracking looking rifle with a superb bit of wood on it. Reggaeman must be well chuffed. Suprised you feel that way about the Hw100KT, but I know how much you think of the R10. Haven't seen a video for at least a day - you must be slipping! Cheers Sib
  3. Nice write up and good pictures. Certainly impressed the farmer. Cheers Sib
  4. Nice shooting davy, and a good write up. That's a hell of a scope you've got on the S410 Cheers Sib
  5. Nice one Zini. Don't you do anything other than go shooting??? Also you've now made me very jealous as after your verminator problems I discounted it from my wish list and went back to the HW100KT in .22. However, this close to Christmas,I couldn't justify it and I have just bought a secondhand Air Arms S400 with a Rowan Engineering magazine. So I'll have to see how I get on with that. Look forward to your next video starring the HW. Cheers mate Sib
  6. Nice job. I've been using that shape hide since I read Batley's book about 10 years ago. It works well for me in most circumstances. Sib
  7. Hiya mate-where abouts in the South East are you based? If you need assistance in setting up your rifle, help with rangefinding, shooting techniques or help with hunting, drop me a line I'm near Maidstone in Kent, what about you? Sib
  8. Very kind offer there Si. Actually I have a client in Leeds, so it wouldn't be beyond the realms of possibility to stay overnight a bit further north! By the way, how did you get on withthe Verminator problem and the gun shop today? sib
  9. Thanks again Zini for the advice. Bloody lucky for you I live over 300 miles away otherwise I'd be pestering you all the time to gain more of your obvious experience and knowledge. Coming from shotgun and rimfire I'm learning to appreciate just what a good air rifle in the right hands can do. The problem we have with rabbits around the stables and paddocks could not be handled other than with with a standard 12ft/lb weapon. I already have a single shot .177 PCP so will probably go for a HW100KT in .22. Cheers mate Sib
  10. At least you saw some sun today judging by the pictures. We've had nothing but torrential rain and thunder in the South East! Excellent pictures. Cheers Sib
  11. Zini, Thanks for the very comprehensive reply and advice given. I had already heard about a couple of issues with the Verminator on other forums but had dismissed them as one-offs and was being swayed by the looks and accuracy of the gun. Oh well - back to my original choice between the HW100TK and an AA S510 - decisions, decisions! Still cannot decide about calibre though - most of my shooting will be rabbits out to 40-45yds and if I can get the holdover spot on, I'm veering towards the .22 calibre I will use your method for setting up my new rifle as it seems a well tried and tes
  12. Great shooting Zini. If you carry on with these videos, you could be costing me a lot of money soon, as I really like what I am seeing and hearing about the Verminator. The Bisley Magnums obviously suit the gun, but do you have much of a problem with holdover on the longer shots, due to the pellet weight? Looking forward to the DVD. Cheers Sib
  13. Great shooting and an excellent video Zini. More of the same please. I've been saving up for a HW100KT but the more I see and hear of the FX Verminator, the more I am drawn to it. Does it come with a silencer already on it? If not is that a Wehrauch silencer you have fitted? Cheers Sib
  14. Is it a single shot, two shot or ten shot? What price are you asking? Sib
  15. Very pretty gun. I'm sorely tempted by one. Sib
  16. I've noticed a lot of the squirrels round us have a reddish tinge sometimes. However I'm old enough to remember red squirrels in our garden when I was a kid and there is no comparison. Maybe the light catches them in a certain way as it always seems to be in the evening when I see the ones with a reddish tint? Cheers Sib
  17. Wow! I'd love my HW95 to look like that and I bet you've had a little tune up on it as well. Trouble is I'd be afraid to put it down in the stable yard or on the fields. It's just too good looking to use in that way! Cheers Sib
  18. Hi Zini, Nice jay there fella. I'm trying to make my mind up about whether to get an AA S510, Weihrauch HW100TK or the BSA R10, probably in .22. By all accounts BSA have got it spot on with this rifle. How does it compare to others you have had? Cheers Sib
  19. Air Arms Pro Sport - weight 9lbs Review: http://gunmart.net/gun_review/air_arms_pro-sport_.177_calibre1/ Weihrauch 97K - weight 9.25lbs Review: http://gunmart.net/gun_review/air_arms_tx200_vs_the_weihrauch_hw97k/ Hope this helps? Sib
  20. Eley VIP 6s in 20 bore. A good hard hitting load, that is better than I am (not difficult!) Sib
  21. I'm with the fixed mag boys on this one. Once I had analyzed that all my shooting with the .22lr was 35 to 65 yds, using subs, I settled on a reasonable Nikko Sterling 6x42 scope. Haven't needed anything better and havne't got the time to be messing about with parralax adjustment etc when a bunny pokes it's head up. Cheers Sib
  22. Thanks for your replies. I have considered snaring and ferreting. Snares are out as the owner of the house has two Jack Russels that wander and my 3 black labs also like to have a nose around! Some mates came over last weekend and ferreted some of the paddocks with little success. They mentioned wind, the moon etc..... I think I will have to try and set up some permanent hides and shoot the .177 air rifle from these. The Bisley Magnums are pretty hard hitting out to 35 yds but then drop off considerably. I think I'll have to forget using the .22 rimfire as there is no real gain over t
  23. We have some stables and paddocks that we rent. This year the rabbits have been really bad and I need to get rid of them. We are on very flinty soil and because of the proximity of the stables, field shelters and turned out horses I am very concerned about ricochets from my standard Eley subsonics. I also cannot use a silenced shotgun, due to the proximity of the owners house. I have used my Falcon .177 PCP air rifle out to about 35 yards, but many of the rabbits are difficult to get near because of the lie of the land. I need to be able to take them at about 50yds. The local gun shop
  24. I think you should start off with a 12 bore. I have been shooting shotguns for nearly 40 years and have only in the last 5 years moved on to a 20 bore. The 20 bore is a lighter quicker gun, great for snap shooting, but harder to shoot crossers and driven as you have to make much more of an effort to keep the barrels moving. Incidentally everyone on our shoot has come to the conclusion that we kill as many foxes with 30gms of No5 or No6, than we do with the bigger SG or BB. Finally 20 bore cartridges are now quite a bit more expensive than 12 bore. Cheers Sib
