  1. Look's like a trip to your Spanish Arsenal Scuba. Atb, foxon.
  2. Yep I am on the scrounge for some leather at the moment............ any ideas???? ATB Michael Scuba, that knife look's good, well impressed with recycle of circular saw blade & I know they are full of Carbon. Sure there will be a cow that's willing to done it's hide on your next Hunting trip. Atb, foxon.
  3. Thank you all for your advice, where would i go to get a gas ram fitted and about how much are we talking would it reduce power Thanks Donnyc will be your man for the Gas Ram, he is on THL & you will not find it cheaper. The Gas Ram will improve the rifle in many ways, it will be a lot quieter with a smoother action, half the recoil of the springer & a cleaner trigger pull, if you do go the Gas Ram route it would be worth while fitting a sound moderator. 4. Go to your local RFD, ask to look at Hawke or 3x9x40 scope & mounts, silencer will not make any difference on this as the action is louder than the muzzle raport, look for a care kit with cloths silicone oils etc, look for pellets that fit your rifle in the breech as they have a tight choke on the xocet, I would take your rifle in with you so you can test pellets in breech if they permit. Atb foxon.
  5. This is the Russian handbuilt Bullpup DAC Demyan by Ishmal, very hard to get hold of & built in very small numbers, with if I remember rightly a Belarus barrel & power adjuster, a very well engineered rifle, that is a genuine Bullpup in every way with action to rear. Is this your rifle Bullmastiff? foxon.
  6. That could be a good reason for there demise Stealthy. foxon.
  7. Yes Ryan, you can cut down any barrel & produce your own Carbine, but you would reduce power & accuracy too, even if you crown your barrel you will loose accuracy no doubt even if you bring the power up. I have tried many short barrel mods & they will not shoot tight groups beyond the 30 yards, but you could buy a second barrel for your S200 & have a go, but you would not want the cylinder longer than your barrel, unless you chop the cylinder & run it through the butt on fill pipe, or move the whole action back in to the butt, skies the limit Have know idea why the Bullpup
  8. Hi Ryan, As you said, no compromise with barrel length as all the workings are in the stock, makes for a very compact & accurate bit of kit, used to have lots of pic's of these during the late 's & 90's, a fellow Gunsmith now past on would convert standard rifle's in to Bullpup's, for any Customer that desired a compact rifle, you got my old memory lane going there Ryan with your interest in the Pup. Cheers, Glynn.
  9. Used to sell many upon many back in the 90's, If I had a Bullpup hanging up it would find a new home that day, now it seems the Carbine has favour with it's short barrel, the BSA Ultra has in some ways become the pretty variant of the ugly Pup, but there is compromise with the shorter barrel of the Carbine over the longer barrel Pups. Another close variant was the Logun Eagle that I have just finished, with air cylinder into stock & battery compartment in butt for lamp, manual rotary mag conversion, re-ported with improved main valve & brass seat, I have removed the threaded mod to sho
  10. Hi Donnyc, Did not want you thinking I was talking cr#p, but your right they are not a Reg like the Taylor's or Abbott's aftermarkets, just while we are on the subject have any of you scientists at AWT made one for the AAs yet, I made a simple prototype with spring & floating bearing but cannot get below the 100 bar with power above 10 ftlbs, been pulling my hair out, reduce pressure on one & gain far too much on the other, been able to keep under the sub but still too little power at the lower fill pressure end. Regards, Glynn. Quite a few
  11. The Guru of Air

    Hi Donnyc,

When I write a thread I know the Master is reading, reminds me when I was an apprentice at the bench, happy day's.

  13. No regs in Air arms Hi Donnyc, The sprung loaded brass adjustable main body inlet valve that regulates the airflow, I call the reg used on both pre anti tamper & anti tamper. foxon.
  14. The Regs on most Airarms I service/tune are pretty poor, I find under full pressure & or when refilled they run at about 7 ftlbs after 20 shots they start to settle @ 11 ftlbs, this makes it very difficult to set reg as once the sweet spot is on, you could find the rifle shooting @ the 11 ftlbs + then on the sweet spot (power curve) 14 ftlbs +, this is due to the increased back pressure working against the main body valve, once the pressure drops the valve opens with less force for a longer period on hammer strike, more free flow of air is produced allowing increased ftlbs, the way round
  15. You cannot go wrong at that price as they are one of those models that hold there money, this one is cheap with scope & Plano plus it's on THL, can't be bad, give it go. Atb, foxon. I have PMd you as well.
  16. I see you live on a remote Island, but your Laws will be the same as the Mainland, you cannot buy Airweapons bar pre war mail order under the 1997 VCR act, your opptions are pop into your nearest RFD gun shop, or a private sale is a legal transaction to allow posting ie buying an air rifle from a newspaper private ad or internet private ad. I would recomend a weapon that will require little or no need for mainland backup, a PCP with a stirup pump unless you have a dive centre on the Island to fill your Bottle, makes to go for with your frame would be Airarms S400s or Daystates, good length rif
  17. I would not bank on it, if your rifle is over the limit the Police will destroy it, I have never known any force to give a rifle back unless they were at fault with a miss reading. All you can do is show that you are a responsible Person & this incident will not be repeated in the future. Make sure they have not put you on a Firearms Ban before you start looking for another rifle, the Firearms Ban will be issued in Court for this type of offence & is Life Long. Atb, foxon.
  18. Good bit of work there Stealthy, seeing you do the Holders a Good service do they have a fund that pays you to go down & control their Rabbits, as I know one Controller that's paid via the local Council to shoot the Rats on the Alotment, as the Holders will not allow the Council to put bait traps or poison down. He reckons they can be good little earners. foxon.
  19. Fake reciept, that has to be the best one I have seen, very well thought out, might try that one if I find a MINT Ripley XL9, like to see look on sellers face when I ask for £50 receipt. Great replies, keep them comeing. foxon.

  22. Got to ask this one, have met through work many fellow Shooters that Do Not want the Wife, Girl Friend to find out they have just spent £600 on a new rifle & pump scope bag pellets etc, I find this very entertaining as they sneak out my shop with new toy preying they don't get caught. Love to hear your stories as I know a lot of you have Partners with Graniteman's poll. foxon.
