  1. A mate of mine is after a stock for a Theoben Rapid 7 Mk1. Right handed and ideally a thumbhole stock but others would be considered. Let me know what you've got. Thanks Alan
  2. Thanks guys. If i had a synthetic stock I'd be tempted to try and paint my own camo pattern, but with a wooden stock i would like to get the whole thing looking original. £70 Seems more reasonable. I'm speaking to Manchester AirGuns tomorrow to get some more info. Any chance you could get some pics of you mates gun posted. I'd love to see how deep the blueing was. Also what condition was the gun in before he got it done. Anyone got anywhere else worth trying for blueing Thanks Alan
  3. Hi All, I own a AirArms TX200 which i bought second hand of this site. However the last owner has removed all the blueing, they have left it pretty clean and done a reasonable job, but it still looks ugly and of course the metal is open to the elements. I've just phoned my nearest gun dealer and they quoted £150+ for a proper blue dip. Far to much to be justified on my gun. What would you all recommend, is there anywhere else where i could get a professional blueing job done at a realistic price? Or is there any DIY kits which provide a good finish. Any comments welcomed. Thanks
  4. Hi, My dad might be interested but the pics don't seem to be working. What are you after for it. Also whats the weight(to price shipping. Thanks Alan
  5. A Jagd from the kennel I'm speaking about attacked one of his kennel mates, a very hard and serious personal protection mastiff. The other dog of course put him in his place, at great expense to the owner I might add. However as soon the little dog was recovered ,all bones mended, and introduced to kennel again what did he do. You guessed it, full on at the very same dog. Back to square one along with more vets fees. Needless to say they never got a chance to mix again. I think his school report card would have read "Does not mix well with others"
  6. There are Jagds in this country you've just got to know where to look. A little while back i was offered one for free from a guy i know who has bred them. The people who have them are just rather discreet. Just look the other Jagd Terrier threads on this site to see why, soon all the haters that haven't seen one come out of the wood work to say why there not needed. What i will say is there a dog which does need responsible handling. They will take on any thing no matter it's size with absolutely no thought for themselves. I can't promise to put you in contact with said man as i did this

I'm also in Orkney. There is a lot of Geese about but most of those have been here all year, as many of them do stay all season now. The main influx of seasonal visitors usually arrive about the third week in October any time after that there will thousands. As for where you stay nowhere on the mainland or connected isles is more than an hour away. Hope it all goes well. Alan
  9. Hi, This i subject I'm also interested in so a further question. Can some one tell me what the battery life is like on the stock mounted batteries and are they much more convenient than the pocket batteries. Alan
  10. Hi, Going to start shooting my TX200 soon and was wondering which pellets everyone would recommend. Initially i'll be zeroing the sites and then some target practice, then eventually some bunnies. I've had a search through this forum and people speak about pellets which suit there gun so wondered what everyone recommended for my TX200 Mk3 for both paper and bunnies. Thanks Alan
  11. Thanks to everyone for there help and advice. All going well i will soon have a TX200 Mk3 on its way to me. Will let you know how i get on. Thanks Alan
  12. Hi, Okay i wonder if some of you can help. I soon will have my first air rifle and once i've done a bit of practice i will hope to "go live". My father has 14 acres some field some rough, i also expect to get permission of the neighboring farm, 150 acres which i worked on as a kid, this will include some links ground teaming with rabbits. I also have some others up my sleeve. My worry is this, i read some where else on this forum that it is illegal to carry or use an air rifle in a public place and that a public place constitutes anywhere which the public have free access. In Scotland
  13. I think i have a TX200 lined up for what seems like a fair price. The gun in question is TX200 Mk3 (see above) But could i just check, before me and the seller end up locked up, that it is okay to post an air rifle with a courier when it is a private addvert and sale. Could someone please reply if they know the answer. Thanks Alan
