Lanber Sporting O/U 12g with SST EJ, 29.5" barrel with 3/4 choke on the top & 1/2 choke on the bottom, has a 14" stock from trigger pull to butt, has shot less than a hundred shells, cost £895 new, this gun was as new when I leant her to a friend, he left the gun in the slip after useing in the rain without drying her, so there are marks on the barrel & action, not pitting but more surface discolouration, the stock & forend are still unmarked, if you look at the pic showing the catch you will see how far too the right she sits just like a new gun, the bore is MINT, this will be a

HELP NEEDED MY RWS SCIMITAR WONT COCK PROPLY
foxon replied to benji09's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Sounds like an over adjusted trigger, the sear is rideing to high for engagement againts the awl, if this is not the case check for lead pellet or other debris obstructing the rearward movement of action. Atb, foxon. -
Common fault, inside the inspection plate on the side of the action you will find a linkage that has popped out of it's location, if not the pawl is bent or damaged, very easy to fix. Atb, foxon.

AA510 CHRONO RESULTS, SOMETHING MUST BE WRONG!!!
foxon replied to THE GRIFF's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
There is nothing wrong with your AA, they do have a Reg of sorts, but it might need adjustment, as you are well within the sub, so you could afford the main valve inlet to be wound out a few turns, Airarms or a good Gunsmith will do this for you, that way you can run her @ 11.30 ftlbs, I would not want to use your rifle running under par, state this to Airarms as it is not Humane. Atb, foxon. -
Hi Alf, Medalist is still for sale, only have the two chokes with her, bought her as new, no box. Regards, Glynn.

Aaron, looks like a fault a few Lightning owners get, forend screws shear off into cylinder, it is a fairly straight forward fix, by the use of pillar drill to bore hole in to studs that have sheared, without damageing threads to allow the use of an easyout, once this has been done the threads are clear for replacement stock forend screws, your Gunsmith will be aware of this as many air rifles shear there stock screws. Atb, Glynn.

Hi Richard, Common fault with the felt & washer system, when placed & tightened the felt will distort causeing all sorts of problems, all it needs is for one of those felt fibres to throw a pellet, do you have the tool to align when assembled, it will be a steel rod that runs through the centre keeping all the baffles true while you tighten the end cap. foxon.
-
Hi Aaron, Have seen with your recent threads you have some good kills under your belt, makeing you a competent shot, have you changed your pellet brand, have you got a silencer fixed to your rifle, remove silencer & see if the flyers stop, I know you use a break barrel are the jaws tight, is the scope faulty?, many a good shot will blame them self when a fault with the weapon's to blame. foxon.
-
Pistol silencers are not a product you see on the shelf ready made, your best bet would be makeing one to fit your HW45. foxon.
-
The Webley Tracker side lever, superb build quality with Anti Bear Trap, bluing to die for, I know it's not an underlever or break barrel otherwise it would have to be the Pro Sport underlever or the HW35 break barrel with a catch that keep's the barrel true to cylinder, locking pins on these if not worn will do the job. foxon.

Hi Michael, They were mostly in .177, as it was a popular paper puncher in it's day, but have seen a few in the .22. Atb, Glynn.

A very well Engineered West German air rifle, with the three bearing trigger release, they have become very popular with collectors & shooters alike, a real icon from the 70's ', depending on it being a MK1 or MK2 latter had the plastic butt pad & sights, with better stocks on some variants, I thought they were the best shooting springer around as nothing could touch them, value up to £350 for Mint examples, I see these change hands for a lot less for poor examples, the Custom with Tyrolean stock can make in excess of £350. foxon.
-
There must be hundred's of great products on the market, suited to the Springers, with mineral rich oils & grease for load bearing surfaces, silicons for anti friction, quality inhibitors that will not wreck the bluing, for PCP's I would recomend any of the Napier range, as you are limited to silicon oils & grease only. Do not use any Mineral content oil's/grease in your PCP. foxon.

Scottish Law. Where is a public place?
foxon replied to northernsoul's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Hi Alan, The land's you are looking to shoot over are Private, not a Public Place, Land that is farmed by Commoners can be classed as a Public Place, it all comes down to access Law's, if there are Public foot paths running across your land you will need to be mindful of the 50 rule. But you will not be breaking any law's shooting over Private farm land that you have permision to shoot over. Rule of thumb get writen permision for each land you shoot over from the land owner & get BASC membership with insurance benefit. foxon. -
With the guide in situ, welded or pressed washer on guide rearward, when the sping is compressed under bolt action without obstructing sear engagement you are ok, if sear will not engage remove guide, as not all Crosman King & Ratcatchers were built with guide. foxon.

Hi Michael, Yes this is the Logun Eagle, they call it a compact Carbine, this one I tuned, but the only genuine Bullpup's I have are the 809 & 819, both side levers with action in the stock, used by the Chinese Army as a Cadet trainer to this day. Atb, Glynn.
