  1. Caught plenty of (hooded) crows in top entry traps. But, yesterday I happened to see one investigate one of my traps. He did everything and I do mean EVERYTHING save go in the damn thing. If he could have lifted it up and looked under it he would have. 15 minutes of fun viewing, but no result! I strongly suspect a side entry would have had him.
  2. http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/index.php?showforum=58 That sub section has some quite good ideas
  3. You'll be wanting the snaring and trapping section then Bob wire traps work for pigeons I'm told.
  4. Actually, now you mention it, customs (wankers) didn't get it $.99 to buy the kit and all of $10 postage
  5. Whilst loitering on another site I came across a few threads on rabbit and fox shooting using small torches, the guys seemed to be having pretty good success on their hunts. After a bit of a questions & answers session I decided I'd take a punt on the torch mentioned in the title. The goal was to be able to go out at night with my shotgun or rimfire without having to bring along an 18-22amp battery, backpack, LF170 and the lead to the battery. Postman arrived with the torch. I brought it out that night in a pocket as I also had my .223 out and needed the Lightforce. In terms of range,
  6. I can't answer your question, but, I've found using an Amber coloured filter doesn't cut the light down near as much as the others.
  7. Mind you don't get your fingers stuck together Clive mate
  8. I can only speak for myself and say I'm not offended in the least, aside from it being a really really crap joke I would have retaliated but I don't know any decent jokes that, honestly, wouldn't cause a storm of proper offense
  9. John - Still funny though! Just played your "Goats don't Shave" track. That wee guy is one MEAN fiddle player! Music had to be good, style icons they were not (and still not funny )
  10. It's offensive in that it's crap
  11. Tarts the rifle up a bit, real comfortable for prone shots, bit different I guess.
  12. I'm guessing it's broken
  13. Well... accidents do happen It must have been a sickener to have done all that work then have it back. Revenge is red eh Got some spraying to do later in the year myself, nothing hardcore though.
  14. Err... Well. It's not actually my music ya know
  15. Shotguns are made for windy dark nights. Callers don't always work, fox may have just eaten, or isn't interested in the sound, or you hit a wrong note and he doesn't like the sound of it. Find their paths, where you know they like traveling. Wait on a good vantage point OFF the horizon and AWAY from village/town lights. The idea is to get your fox coming towards you. Where the dark windy night comes into play is you can then very quietly try to get closer. The wind should ideally be coming from the fox towards you, NEVER from you to the fox. The wind hides some but not all noise, I've ran
  16. Do you light the end of the spray nozzle Diesel seems to have quite a few applications.
  17. What's this mysterious purple spray for then?
  18. Tom Clonan. So called "security expert" who pops up in da meeja like a zit at the mention of firearms. Former military dipshit who hates the fact guns are in civilian hands.
  19. Upload the photo to a site like Photobucket first. Copy and paste the IMG code into your message above and it'll come up fine Well done on the foxes, we got no snow like that over here, I was hoping I would get to do what ye done Will have to try it on the beach instead! lol
  20. Mine is 3 or 4 years old now harry. Only problem I had with it was a bubble in the metal in the action lock. Replaced FOC and ASAP. For what I paid for it and how it's worked for me I have no complaints at all.
  21. Got an MP-153, not the camo version, it's a great gun Never failed to eject anything. Tough as nails.
  22. One thing is for sure, DO NOT buy Maplins heated insoles. More warmth off an ice cube
