  1. You're missing what I'm saying SS. I am saying, currently, the default setting for this board is that anyone can add you as a friend without your approval. You physically need to go into your profile and change it yourself. That should be changed, IMO ,so that the board default is I, you, or whomever, must see the incoming friends request, and approve it, before they're added.
  2. Malt, I will have to carefully consider your application to be my friend. Can you provide any references from long standing members?
  3. Hi Malt, Same as that. I know how to change them, and that they could be changed. That's not the problem. If they were set on the board by default as requiring permission to become friends it'd be better, IMO.
  4. Can settings, such as people adding you as a friend, be set by Admin to require the members permission as a default please. AFAIK ATM it is set so anyone can add you as a friend, and the first thing you know about it is they're on your list As it can cause offense to remove someone, I think it would be good to set it to requiring permission as default. Plus it would give Ian something to do
  5. In that case... I may be a redneck Got two Bushnell Trail Sentrys and a Moultrie i60 I know other lads on here have them too. I've caught red foxes, badgers, dogs, ravens, greycrows, cats, rats and mice on them
  6. You'll get him, I have faith in ya! You should have a real good idea where he's mooching about with the snow, we never got any here. Just had door to door marketers call, put them on the list too!
  7. Does they use a Dyson ? I tell you John, my larsen was never as clean as when that fella left it, we could do a barter service, he can hoover and I'll supply greycrows and magpies
  8. They only moved in here in the past 4 or 5 years. I'd not seen anything like them before that, nice to see them hoovering, but, I'm sure they give the small birds a battering. I've seen seagulls killed on the island across the way, would they manage one I wonder? Not the black backs but smaller gulls.
  9. Cheers OTC There are a fair few of them around here now.
  10. Yep, the NF is heavy, the varmint barrel is heavy and the laminate stock is heavy. I've changed my tactics since first starting shooting, when I used to walk, walk, walk. Now, I set up in places I know are good for foxes, pick a nice hill and stick to it, maybe move to another hill later. Walking is now kept to a minimum. I don't like the weight anymore, not just because it's heavy but I get tendon troubles now and then and it ain't always fun. If I was doing it all over again I'd be tempted for a light weight custom rifle, but I still figure heavy and accurate go hand in glove for the most pa
  11. It's a chameleon doing a good impression of a crow then
  12. Don't make sheep dip too strong for a dog, or he won't be liking you much. Too strong and it'll burn the skin, seen it happen to sheep. Mind you, the piss they pass off as dip today likely won't have ingredient "whatever" in it to do that anymore, becarefull all the same. It's easy to get, general merchants, co-ops, farm shops, probably get it online as well.
  13. I put up a thread someplace before, same type bird that got hit by a car, mate found it. Took a pic and think it got identified as a kestrel. Anyway, I'm no expert, just going on what I was told. Seems like it's not just a funny looking crow then
  14. Must've been after the call bird, which was a greycrow (hooded crow). Can't see any other reason it'd go in there, another possibility was a song bird went into the cage picking at grain and the Kestrel was following it. Either way, it got more than it bargained for.
  15. Saturday February 6th The fog rolled in slowly off the Atlantic all afternoon, I watched it move up the bay and start swallowing the island across the way. It's hard to predict whether it'll stay for the evening or not, but I thought I'll head out and check a few places anyway as it's rarely in every corner bad enough to stop play. The first port of call was my own farm, I checked it over from another spot that gives a good vantage point. Unfortunately it's one of the worst areas for fog and didn't disappoint on that aspect tonight, it's a no go for shooting. My second call was wh
  16. I won't be nosey and pry, but, I hope it all works out for ye as best it can. The law is a funny thing until you tangle with it, common sense, justice, or whatever, often doesn't apply one bit.
  17. I imagine Harris themselves would help you out with that.
  18. Just after listening to it, I prefer Christy but I've been a fan of his for a very long time so comes as no surprise to me.
  19. Wales Is Italy giving Ireland a run for our money one of those spoof Paddy Power bets?
