  1. just told the mrs about this while giggling to my self, she said its not funny............. her mates son was "mugged" by a fox on tescos car park the other night :icon_eek: it stole his garlic bread!!!!!!!! holy shite they are after us!!! ( i know whats going in the cage traps from now on! it can't be coincidence can it?????)
  2. yet more feathers in the harris pen ( although i do think it has slowed down sinec we have had these cold nigts) the male is bouncing around ( onto the sides and back to the perch) which i am a bit concerned about, i dont want him wrecking feathers or feet. " keep it up and you will be bowed out for the moult"!!!!!!! "ruby" the spar is feeding well now ( i am amazed how fast it goes through her!!!! turbo metabolism or what) now that all is going smoothly i just have to wait for something to go wrong lol waidmannsheil!!
  3. i am after a stock for two old air guns i have here. dont need to be perfect. i dont mind a bit of sanding lol if you have anything i would be glad to hear from you. thanks
  4. the hunt would not be hunting live quarry i am sure
  5. very tidy. i like the metal dust. i think the shape is unconventional but would be very functional for the deersatlkers among us ( larger game, breaking in on the chest cavity/rib cage and pelvic bone etc etc). waidmannsheil!!
  6. google it bud. pigeons carry it ( and suffer from it) and it can be contracted by birds of prey ( thats how i know of it). antibiotics from the vet should sort it.
  7. not sure if they can get frounce?
  8. thats one deer species i have not had the pleasure of ( red, sika, fallow and roe i have lol). munty and cwd are on the list still. very nice

  10. today the spar fed at last. after five days i was getting nervous to say the least! she can pile the weight back on now and get her tail feathers sorted out for some maggie bashing. harris's munching quail and chucking feathers all over the place. all good!!
  11. wahrscheinlich koennen die deutschen mitgliedern eher an so ein ding kommen. wenn du ein kriegen kannst sag mal bescheid und ich kauf es dir gerne ab. horrido, waidmannsheil! if anyone has a german hunting horn knocking about please let me know i would like to buy one, thanks.
  12. i take it you want the dog as a stalking partner? thats where i would say they come into their own. i have seen five of these work roe deer ( wounded trails) in germany.the "blood bred" dogs are not " allowed" to!!!!!!! top notch! and capable at the catch/hold too. waidmannsheil!!
  13. try getting some hemp or spun poly ( spun poly is better imho) nets and you will never worry about tangled nets again, you can still take the knickers in a spare sock if needed lmao
  14. they can be more hot headed than the other germans ( sh,gm(dlh),km,dw etc etc ) but DO make good dogs for pretty much everything you train them for. yes i am biased and may start a thread on the slovaks too now :victory:
  15. thought you might not notice if i put them in a different order florence, errrr truck err paul
  16. bang on paul, well you would be if i had been the far side of the estuary lol. conwy.
  17. just a couple of pics i took while on the beach with the muts yesterday
  18. not much cop by pauls high standards but i like them ( i sense a bit of irony he he he he)
  19. well i am pleased to say the "spar quest" has ended today. i went to see a lad and bought a female from last year which he imprinted. she has been hunting magpie mainly ( which is what i would like to concetrate on). started last season at 200g and finished in nov at 220g. she has been here a few hours now ( first indoors and now on the raptor post outside) and seems to be quite relaxed. so its another bird to the team lol waidmannsheil!!
  20. are you looking to hunt it or buy it ( meat?).
  21. you can pick them up for around 300 quid mate. (the stress of a lost bird is far higher!!!!!) i am also in telford. i take it you fly a harris then?
  22. i doubt many will advocate the "without telemetry" view bud. where in shropshire are you?
