  1. we can say what we like, thats our freedom of speech ian , its there job to catch us actually doing it, thats the big difference, the same goes for pictures or video evidence , they have to see us doing it at the time of us filming or taking the picture, its not illegal to owning them. unless you are putting times and dates on how can they say that was taken before the ban.
  2. that was one of the best days cousring ive seen, if that bitch was a couple of years younger ????, think she was nearly 6yrs old there, sniper had just recovered from a dropped muscle aswell, ive got that on video somewhere.
  3. SPORT ? SHOOTING CLAY PIGEONS IS A SPORT, SHOOTING HARES IS THE MOST DEGRADING THINGS TO HAPPEN TO HARES, BRITAINS ULTIMATE RUNNING MACHINE THATS BORN TO RUN
  4. i cant see the point in posting something like that on here, knowing what reaction it would create
  5. pre ban come september i would increase there protien and carb intake, increase there there walk to a couple of hours a day, 1 hr mooching in the morning then 1 hr road work later, then as soon as we got decent ground, if i had pups i would go out either looking for kick ups or slip ins ,always making sure not to over run the pup, after that i would run it sparingly until i know the dog is strong enough mentally and physically to handle it, THERE WERE THE DAYS
  6. at the end of the day we are all adults, (most of us) and we no the consiquences of being caught, so some idle banter or bragging on here cant be classed as being caught coursing, its just some guys having abit of craick , so chill and roll a spliff unless you fancy a dog that can catch a hare lol
  7. ones just gone 12mths and the other which is out of baz's dog i think is 14mths, he will put me right if i'm wrong .ive also got a bitch which is 18mths out of a dog called luke, (charlie x deacon) to a bitch from micky drews stuff i said before that i only had 2 pups in but i also had the 12mth old one but at the time he hurt himself badly on a rabbit and it was 50/50 if he was going to make it mentally, physically i got him back perfect, but ive slowly brought him back, letting him watch alot of kills (rabbits) but with confidence i can say he will be ok after watching him run, he's bred o
  8. this time of year, i would only run pups, i wouldnt consider running an experienced dog , i would rather wait for the better ground to reduce the chance of injurys. i gave my pups there first run on friday tea time and the ground then was just the say runnable, the 2 pups got a couple of runs and had there first kill, also had alot of bother with farmers which are still flat out getting the tatties in, but the serious stuff will start in november
  9. did you get your stopper protecters ok paul , sorry didnt have time to clean them the pup is looking well, nothing wrong with givin them a slip at that age just keep it in moderations and when you know it has a sure chance of catching
  10. Very valid point Shaun ,with all the crowd on the bank, plus the inevitable noise ,some hares options were reduced,I along with many others saw quite a few hares make for the banking.only to spot the crowd and have to veer off it ,and try and straightline the dogs to the nearest pipe or hole in a dyke.Sniper was an excellent dog,an unlucky bitch imowas Big Martins Beauty,it was injured and had to be withdrawn, that was the year Braddies bitch Roxy ,sister to Drax won it.Dont think I saw a dog given bigger slips than Lucky got the Millenium year. if i rememder right sanky slipped lucky that
  11. he was a one off type of dog, joe would give the world to have him again , people has to remember when he won the forley there wasnt many people there watching, so the hare had a clear run , in the following years there was hundreds watching and sadly it ended up like park coursing
  12. still waiting for my day out , wish you would sort them flys out around your back urrrrrrr

  13. pm me your address ive got a set here if you want them, i got mine from a suplyer from ireland, they are used on sledge dogs,
  14. sniper was the best dogs i have seen run without doubt, he killed on small fields and the fens, joe had to get him put to sleep last year, when he won the forley in my opinion it was the best win out of all them, i was telling the slipper (gary dickenson) to give him longer slips to give the others a chance because he was that good, even with a nocked up toe , that he was suffering on the day after his first run, he was bred by d gallager , his sire was a pure saluki (bregawn) to a deerhound x greyhound bitch, i thnk the bitch was 5/8 deerhound.
  15. i started with my brothers ferreting as soon as i could walk, because my mother made them take me which ended up with me been bashed up by them for walking to slow . i then got my first fishing rod for xmas which was a woolworths special first fish that i caught on maggot was a perch, then i started with bird nesting which at the time was still legal i think . then moved onto snaring bunnys around 10 yrs old just going around the industrial estates where i live, also at the same time i was exercising whippets for a guy and ran them on sunday mornings. then went to secondary school an
  16. i'm going try and get the ratcatcher, they look pretty light enough for him to start off on. so which are the most popular sites where i might get a second hand one and whats usually the going rate for them, thanks for the help
  17. im looking to buy my son his first air rifle, he's only 7yrs old going on 20yrs lol so what would suit him, i would want something that is very light, he wuld be using it for rats and the bunny's and targets.
  18. try stuff called tuff pad its usually sold at greyhound suplyers or even better stuff is alum you get that from chemist, but it sounds to me that the dog is favouring that leg more by putting most of its weight onto it causing it to wear pads down, it could also be the ground you are exercising it on, gravel tracks are notorious for causing that problem aswell
  19. end of the day frank its what you put into them ,
  20. before you got a lightforce or lazerlite, what was your favourite tool, mine was a lamp stolen off the local fire brigrade truck moggy thousand had god beams, then we had the batterys in the five gallon drums that leaked acid over our clothes ,
  21. get them injected, pups are only covered until they are 12 weeks thats if they are suckling there mother and she has had all the jabs
  22. ive never seen it has bad as this, every place i have been to has it in a bad way, its ok at the moment for my pups but come the winter the majority of them will be wiped out, i think having a couple of warm winters has escalated the discease to plague proportions
  23. i was down englands who had ghost , it was about 3yrs back, tryed lining a bitch i had but age had caught up with him by then , think he was about 12yrs old but looked in really good nick. keep in touch leec would like to here how the siblings make out, i might sort a puppy stake out if i get time later in the year, ive got the docherty brothers up tomorrow, they are bringing a bitch up to be lined by flint, its out of charlie and ruby and its the full brother to the jocko dog, which is a real good one
  24. ive got nothing but praise for mine at the moment leec she is a very placid bitch with a nasty streak to boot when needed , she's around the 26 inch mark red with a smooth coat, my pal joe has a dog which you wouldnt think was its brother, its around the 27 + mark really rough coated but he's very nimble and agile for his size and clever, now the other bitch i got off baz she is 24 inches smooth brindle and like a coiled spring very excitable. as soon as i get a fire lead for my camera i will get some pictures up of them. over the summer ive been lucky around here with plenty of rabbits ju
  25. mine will be mainly used for coursing but will also used on the lamp and for daytime mooching
