The hard thing with food is that food is kept artificially cheap in order that they can nick your money off you for a whole host of other shit, mostly a tax of some kind or another. So for you average mum, when you can buy 3 chickens for the price that 1 local free range bird will cost.....what’s she going to do? She still has to pay all the other stealth tax crap. Again, it’s just another method of control......and a fairly obvious one to anybody that stops to think about it for 5 minutes.

Talking of backstop and the EU insistence on having a border “to protect the integrity of the single market” How does it sit with you that they are importing Beef from Brazil at the expense of their own farmers and making all sorts of ludicrous “climate” taxes when there is thousands of acres of rainforest being destroyed to grow that Brazilian beef?

Well, I was talking to a nutritionist last week and he told me some new things I didnt know......probably common knowledge but I didn’t know them all the same. He was telling about how it takes more calories to process high protein foods etc. Told me about working big muscles (which in fairness I think you told me ages ago) to burn more calories. Anyway, I just found it interesting as I’m trying to shift a bit of flab.

Have seen for years that you are a very knowledgeable bloke on the subject of gym training and I think you have a better than average understanding of the workings of the body for training purposes and to be honest I have been waiting for you to weigh in on the Diet thread. This has been said for ages now by everyone, but I like Dyce (spel?) and what he has done at Burnley......they have a “proper club” feel about them when you watch them or hear about them. I like all that type of stuff.

I think it comes down to this and it’s exactly as you say, enjoy it if it happens as long as you can’t see it being the death of your club and what makes it special. When Big Fat Sam was manager at our club I can hand on heart say I wanted us to go down because it would have meant the end of him......what we are about as a club means more than just “being in the PL” As it happens he went anyway and to some club where the so called fans don’t give a f**k what they are watching as long as they are “up there”......soulless c**ts who have f**k all about them or their club. I can only speak for myself, but as a fan I honestly never think about the “what if” (well, maybe once a year ! Lol)......I’m just happy following my club, I like who we are and what we are all about.......happy enough with that personally. You may remember how I felt about the appointment of Pellergrini mate, at the time I just thought “oh for f**k sake.....more same old, same old” and I would have liked to see one of these young modern coaches instead. And also, the pre season before this one I watched us play City and they shamed us, in fact they changed their whole team at half time and never broke stride......we were terrible and 15 yards off the pace which isn’t good enough. However, hands up, I have been proven totally wrong about Pellergrini because he seems to be doing what I thought a younger bloke would do an

I think it’s healthy for the game to see all these young coaches coming through mate, especially young English coaches. Yesterdays openers felt very promising for the season ahead.....I think we could witness some fantastic football.

I’ll tell you what freaked me out yesterday, me and the boy sat watching MOTD and they keep saying the name “Trezuget” and I’m like “What the f**k ?” So I say to the boy, did they say “Trezuget” and he says “Yeah” So now I’m really confused because I can’t see David Trezuget on the pitch anywhere ! Lol lol But no, it’s a young player called Trezuget !........f**k, talk about getting old ! Lol lol

Pep and Juergen are simply the two best coaches in the game, and they are at clubs who will back them up with all the resources they require.....as we can see, it’s a powerful combination. However, it’s also nice to see the Graham Potters of this world doing their thing.......I think we are entering a very good time for English football.

I think Norwich and Villa did well and I have to admit, I really enjoyed the Sheffield Unt game and what it meant to that lad to score......fantastic stuff. Once these teams get with the pace, I can’t see there being one easy game for any team this season.
