Football and fishing were the two activities I was able to get totally focused and single minded on mate. I need clear objectives and a bit of competition to really get OCD about something......don’t know why, just the way I am put together I suppose.

Great attitude mate, I wish I was more like it sometimes and I admire lads who can be single minded about anything they chose......I’m not one of them lads by the way ! Lol Certain things I can, but I have to really love them otherwise I loose interest too easily.

Ahh they knew they had a special talent mate, they don’t fly 12 year olds half way round the world along with his dad, set them up in a house and pay for his medical treatment to help with his growth for nothing.

Is it something you have done before mate? I did it for years, it certainly gets you interacting with some strange and interesting people !! Lol Keep an eye out for the fixed lines left by Eastern European’s and keep a close eye on any of them fishing......them c**ts will be having a £2k carp for their Christmas dinner if you give them half a chance.

“Tactical voting” ......was there ever a more hideous term for “I’ll stick my principals to one side” Im sorry, but I learned a very long time ago that sometimes in life (many times in fact) you have to cut off your nose to spite your face in order to stick to what’s right. Now, that will mean different things to different people and for some it will mean voting Tory when they are life long labour. For me, it would mean not voting for any of these f***ing charlatans that have so blatantly ridden roughshod over every principal of democracy and decency and truth the last 4 years.

I have always said you can’t say who the best is out of him and Messi, they are completely different players mate.

I think the thing you have to respect him for is, he built himself. Messi was born with his talent and obviously worked very hard too, but Ronaldo actually took himself from mediocre to the player he is now by sheer will, determination and hard work......you absolutely have to say that is his greatest gift to any aspiring young player.

As you well know mate, football and football clubs are an all round thing.....you want to play football that players want to play and in so doing be a club players want to play for and stay at.......it’s creating an atmosphere and culture that’s important. Players come to clubs like us for a reason, at the moment that reason is that it’s where they can have a job in Europe and the premier league.......they don’t come to us because we are West Ham united or because the football is so attractive they are going to enjoy it, they come for a job and nothing more. Thing is mate, with the top quality professional people these clubs have in place there’s no reason to be fragile. These players have the best people in the business to help them get where they need to be. Somebody isn’t doing their job right somewhere........hope that makes sense. When Christiano Ronaldo went to Unt he went to the coaching, medical and catering staff and said “I want you to make me the best player in the world”......and they did ! Mate, my point is, it’s all there already........we just need to know how to use it. We don’t need to lay out bundles of money to field a team the fans can get behind, we have it all already. Sheffield are proving my point rather nicely this season don’t you think ? Edited to add; The change in the rule about academy players and distance from clubs was a killer for a lot of clubs, it meant that the likes of Chelsea, Unt and City could just come in and cherry pick the best youth.
