From what I can see of it, the NHS (forgetting it’s lurch towards a totally unsustainable business model) was designed for a country that historically had about 55 million people, give or take 5 million. Its now dealing with a country of 70 million people ! .......it was creaking at the seams prior to this pandemic and when that hit it showed the fragility of it all. Whatever happens, they are going to have to throw the fallout from a completely unpredictable pandemic into the mix. Financially the UK is the family who have just been going mad with the credit cards for years from what I can see of it, the debt is literally gargantuan. I dont know what that requires to deal with but I can only see it meaning having to pack in even more souls and make more demands than ever before because let’s face it, nobody there wants to get smaller or poorer. A lad I know has it at the moment and it has wrecked him, he is 10 days in with a temp of 39.5 and has lost about 4 stone and there’s no sign of it letting up yet !

I agree, they should have taken a line and stuck to it but they didn’t. However, they also know well their audience and nobody wanted the pain.....plus they have squandered all the money so they were stuck between a rock and a hard place.

My own personal opinion is that we get where (I believe) humanity needs to be on a small scale. We reject politics and politicians wherever possible, we live in our own way as far removed from their machine as our Own personal circumstances will allow. Nobody is going to do one massive thing that changes the world, but if enough people do enough small things then the world will turn eventually......we may not be there to see it but at least we can die knowing we gave it a little push. Live your way, make it hard for them where you can, withdraw your mandate ? jmho

Personally (and probably wrongly) I’m at a point where I’m not looking for clever, I’m looking for someone to wreck the party and smash it all up.......and from what I read and hear daily that seems to be what people are saying he is doing and that’s fine. Its blunt instrument time ! Lol

I think business likes Trump mate, share prices slid when he was admitted to hospital.......if that mean anything and I’m not sure that it does. I have said many times, as far as I’m concerned (and imho) we are at a very bad place Democratically, socially, with our civil liberties......there’s a poison running in the veins of the world Theres a sickness, I see bad law everywhere and bad law is dangerous for everyone.......today it’s me, tomorrow it’s you type thing. Point is, it’s not about what a person says it’s about what they do mate.......Blair was a great orator, so was Obama, so was Thatcher, so was Hitler etc etc etc........what happened to their respective countries under their watch ? Fact is, we won’t know what Trumps legacy is until 10 or 20 years from now but we do know that we will get more of what we have seen previously if he looses.

They transferred my pal to Kings College, he was there for 4 months. On his Ward was a young lad of 18, he had also been in a bike crash and all he could do was blink ! .......that was the only movement he had left to him. Ill never forget that lad, poor b*****d.
