Genuine question lads, Why are we still talking about this ? We know what Biden and Harris are, we know what The Don could and should have been but it’s over. Time for a more domestic discussion don’t you think ? When the Don was POTUS I was interested , now it’s back to yet another globalist, BLM, business as usual couple of clones it not even worth talking about. What do you reckon ?

It’s time to forget American politics, it all back to business as usual. Better off exploring alternative parties closer to home and backing them. I hoped Trump would be the medicine but he’s gone now, time to move on !

That’s our fault as much as anyone, supporting the out of town shopping centres and neglecting our high streets. Electing councillors that institute parking restrictions in town, that are actively anti business in their policy’s. Then we wonder why it’s all paki chicken shops and mobile phone accessories emporiums run by 18,000 pakis and the place is a shit hole ! But we won’t shop local if it costs us an extra tenner ! We are our own worst enemy in many regards !

Me and my pals used to stand in the north mate but as I said I never went football as much as lots of my mates because I was playing all the time. You know yourself, mischief isn’t hard to find for young blokes with a twinkle in their eye. I hated seats when they came in but then when I was a dad I was glad of it and it was quiet nice to just go football and know that you never had to worry. Our train line was always alright too because it was only ever West Ham fans going up and down it in match days so you never bumped into any other fans, the odd yid hidden under and over coa

I can honestly say I have never been in a scrap going to watch football or even been in a situation where it may happen. Maybe a couple of time after the match but that never had anything to do with football, that was more a case of a group of lad going into darkie wine bars looking for mischief after the game or getting into normal scrapes as lads do on a day out. But actually at football (watching) never.

I don’t think anyone who has ever met me would describe me as “woke”.......they may say other things but definitely not that ! Lol Taking emotion out of it for a minute it was just a disaster Born out of typical heartless “practical” British Victorian thinking. As you say there was plenty of food but that was seen as worth more than Irish peasant lives. The idea (From a few great & powerful politicians) was basically to let nature clear land of non productive people in order to modernise agriculture and get rid of the “burden” of people who were just happy living and doing

I felt a bit chastened when I saw the old boy get upset, it brings home that it was beyond football. Lads like me who tend to see things from a pitch level or lads who wanted the “glamour” of a big stadium probably never fully appreciated it or gave it enough thought. Fact is my lad probably understood it better than me and he is only a baby. I found him describing his life very interesting, you wouldn’t wish that hardship in any kid. As I said, good stuff

Do you know what, I have never read any of his books or heard the bloke talk beyond the odd sound bite here and there. I absolutely loved that, forget the football. All the above makes sense in most places, however for me I have to think about bored bull blooded lurcher + sheep, small Cattle and pigs = recipe for disaster

I just don’t find Vindaloo or Phaul (spel?) pleasurable. In fact Phaul is torture ! My old mum used to eat it and it looked like a gauntlet ! Tried the most tiny bit once, and I mean tiny......couldn’t taste or enjoy anything for an hour afterwards

Well I just stuck a mutton Rendang in the oven. Mutton (obviously !) onion, ginger and garlic chopped to a paste and fried off in butter. Tumeric, coriander, cumin, black pepper and cinnamon Added and warmed through. Tamarind, coconut milk, juice of a whole lime and rich brown sugar Dried fruit and chopped almonds. Smells amazing !
