Get on the group if you have permission local, the best defence is attack sometimes. They tried to instigate something similar years ago where I used to live, made a big splash in local media about the cozzer who was heading up the scheme…….so I phoned him up, said I had loads of permission local, told him to come round for a cup of tea (which he did), sat giving him the blarney for an hour and said “Right, here’s my motor reg, I’m out and about round here all the time at strange times of the day. Log it so your fellow officers know who it is…..do I need to phone you up every time I go ou

What’s the death toll amongst your workmates having to listen to your craic all day ? Lol ?

L200 are decent kit mate, just make sure you change the belts (cam belt) and keep it serviced and it will be spot on……a lot cheaper than Toyota as well.

I had one of those Eastern European rescue dogs……best thing I ever did. Made a cracking job of washing the car and tiling the kitchen !

It’s the only way to get sensible replies mate ! Haha ?

And there you have it brother, a bloke being the change he wants and having an affect much wider than himself…..didn’t cost him a thing to do it and he is remembered for it. I read a really good thing in a novel once, the main character was talking to his elderly mum and saying how he felt helpless in the face of a big situation with powerful people who would overwhelm him and his loved ones.…..so he was probably going to turn his back and leave well alone. His mum slapped him round the face, that being the first time she had ever hit him and said: “God put good and evil in the

I have visited more nicks than I ever wanted to in my life, they are without exception f***ing horrible places……what does that say about life when prison is the better way of being alive ? That’s a damning indictment of society that is…….it’s positively Victorian !
-
Point is mate, everything is set up to put people in that position. I spent nearly my whole life round people where every day you are having to look for the angle……I like to think I know a 3 card trick when I see one…..and I do see one. How many time on here do you see people slagging off someone on benefits ?…….but what if that is what is saving their life ? Its a lie sold to us that some poor b*****d copping £200 a week to live on the breadline somehow has more of an effect on us than the government ironing a hundred billion quid in subsidy to China or a contract to their mate

Likewise mate, but it’s a bit of an “I’m alright jack” attitude (and I don’t mean that in a rude way at all)……just because I’m alright and your alright don’t mean there ain’t a problem. What are we if we don’t confront the wrongs in our society on behalf of people who are worse off than ourself ? I didn’t like what I was seeing and I didn’t want to sacrifice my kids at the alter of this perversion of a society so I just said “f**k this” and left…..I was lucky that I was in a position to do so….. However, I have come to realise that anyone can say “f**k this” if they want to

It wasn’t intended to make people feel bad mate, it was more to say “Yeah, there’s a problem, it’s effecting millions and it’s not your fault” They changed the goal posts on mine and subsequent generations mate, they tore up that social contract. Now they are just tearing the arse out of people and its wrong……it’s not for no reason that we have seen this tragedy unfold over the last decade or so. How many times did you hear about this when you were 20 or 30 ? I know I never, and it was happening long before we ever heard of Covid and lock downs. There has to be a reason

I don’t believe taking your own life takes balls mate, imho what it takes is reaching rock bottom hopelessness…..and that is just a terribly sad thing. The lie they want to sell you in this world is that you don’t have a choice, you do, there’s always a way to better your situation…..you can do anything, go anywhere…….

Sitting here reading these genuine heart felt stories just makes me very, very sad. And the worst of it is, this is the story of millions of people, it must be, a small hunting forum with a limited number of contributors can’t be in any way so special that it has a higher than average count of people who have been touched by these issues. I don’t know if I’m right or wrong but I have said for years that the various pressures put on people today are terrible and it seems the screw only gets turned more and more on folks. The demands of living today are abuse in any other sphere o

f**k me, Greb will be all over that ! Lol ?

Here’s one, so if I met an old traveller man I’d call him “Uncle” out of respect for him being the elder person in the group. Are there similar nuances around the country I wonder ?
-
Again, it’s one of them depends how you use it…..and how regular. So I would say to people from my area of London if I was explaining who someone is “you know the geezer” and that would be acceptable. But I would never say “Alright geezer” by way of a greeting because then I’d just sound like an utter retarded prick ! To me it’s a word that gets used rarely and only in very specific ways.

As I remember (could be way off) but what happened with Brandon Lee was that a part of the actual casing or something had got lodged up the barrel during rehearsal and then when it came time to do the scene the new blank acted as the propellant and fired the lodged casing out of the pistol effectively making it a “bullet”

Not my mates because they were utter c**ts but we had a couple round our town called “Thrush” because he was an irritating c**t and another called “Casualty” because he was equally annoying and would get ironed out once a week ! Lol
-
I actually like stuff like that mate, it’s nice really to me.
-
That used to get used a lot in my old town, I think it was a hangover from the time it was still a rural village and would have had more a connection to rural Essex/ Suffolk than it does nowadays where it would be all East Londoners and their descendants. Even though I’m a born and bred south Londoner I would use that to my cousins from that town because their dads (my mums brothers) would have all used it so it’s just what we called each other.
-
Here’s a thing, do people have nicknames anymore ? One of mates was only ever known by his nickname of “Toppy” which was a hangover from school when he used to dress all smart and we called him “Top Man” after the shop. But when I was a kid all my old man’s mates seemed to have a nickname, “Long Bob” who was as you might think tall, “Morph” who was short, “Son of Sam” (no idea ??), “Con” whose name was John?…..all the chaps seemed to have a nickname by which people would know exactly who you meant.

If you want to hear something really hilarious and toe curling in equal measure it’s some young bloke from rural Ireland trying to talk all black London Street……some older lad said to my boy when he was out with his mates a few weeks back: ”Wat you looking at fam, don’t stare at me fam, I’ll mess you up” in some shit wog/Irish accent ! The bloke was white ! My boy burst out laughing and just said “f**k off you prat” lol ?
-
I think it’s an age thing too, there certain things an older bloke can get away with saying that a young bloke can’t and vice versa. But that said, anything Birmingham just sounds like gobbledygook! Lol ?
