    Point is, there’s nothing left to loose so whatever anyone does makes very little difference really to the majority of lurcher owners…..that ship has sailed so they make as well do as they please if you get my drift I genuinely wasn’t being sarcastic with that comment mate, I like to crack on like that myself but my point was if we think just that fact will save anything then I don’t think it will. Anything earning money and not making a loud noise (yeah, I know! Lol) will last a lot longer than anything else was my point mate.

    They will close all the loop holes eventually, like coursing they will make it an offence for the farmer to allow lads on and hey presto, most of the permission will disappear over night. It may well even be an offence now but if anyone thinks acting the gent for any reason other than that’s just how you like to conduct yourself will make a difference then I reckon they are very wide of the mark. Shooting like yours will be ok for a good while because it’s pretty solitary and in many cases highly monetised.

    Don’t matter what you do or how you go about it, you will never convince your ordinary every day citizen that a sweet looking roe doe with a lurcher clamped to its neck is in anyway acceptable……it’s a battle you can never win. So don’t try to win it…….good on the lads that say “f**k it” and just get on with zero fucks given, old duffers like me who are way too comfy in our armchair and don’t need the ag ain’t the future of dogs, lads killing stuff are.

    Do you remember my little terrier got out and the next door woman caught it and phoned the dog warden ? (Despite knowing it was my dog !) That dog warden asked all sorts of nosey questions about the scars on the dogs head when he fetched it back, I just said “yeah, he’s a right f****r for brambles when we are out”……his reply was “Just checking because a certain type of people keep these dogs” This was 10 years ago, f**k knows what things would be like now.

    I can’t believe the CA didn’t write in an exemption for the lone hunter, quietly working his dogs and leaving nothing except a bent blade of grass as a clue that he was ever there…….did they not take into consideration lads doing it “properly” and not making it hot for everyone ? Lol ?

    I don’t know about anyone else but whenever I see these Spider, snake, tiger, bear people on the telly cracking on like they have some kind of connection with whatever lethal animal they are f***ing about with, there’s a voice inside my head screaming at the animals “Go on, kill him !!” These people f***ing break me !

    She had a few dogs around her and one was like her pal which which was the rough coated dog Spider, but she was devoted to them all. A very good animal keeper, much better than me…..which wouldn’t be hard ! Lol

    That’s tidy to hear mate, don’t get me wrong most people are ok in their own way but not everyone is going to get along. Do you still see anything of Hannah ? You wasn’t that far from her I believe was you ?

    Yep, all this meeting up with people isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. I was lucky in that I only ever met a few people who I had a good feeling about and wasn’t disappointed luckily enough. But by and large it’s just always safer to say “No thanks”……still, it’s all an experience isn’t it mate.
