I did mate, bit nostalgic really because I used to live in a caravan when I was little and that only had gas lights at the time !…..bored the arse off my oldest boy regaling him with story’s about it ! Lol

Was without power for about 30 hours, lucky as some won’t have power restored until Thursday. Out came the petrol cooker and went full prepper ! Lol Another one blowing in off the Atlantic today by all accounts but hopefully not as bad.

I’m not digging you out mate because I’m genuinely interested in the reasoning of people who think voting the same gets you any different and most keep it in the down low, so fair play, but how do you explain that reasoning ? Blackheath, south London, it’s called Blackheath because it was a massive plague pit. In the subject of interesting grave stones, many years ago in a graveyard in Bangor, Northern Ireland I found the Grave stone of the ships doctor from the Titanic ! Just for some more context, the United States Marine Corp is 181,000 full time active service persons and 32,000 reserves……that’s 213,000 people……that’s JUST the Marine Corps ! Just looked that old boy up and read some of his writings, he is without doubt a well qualified and clever dude. He holds senior positions in university’s and on the whole is a well respected academic on the subject of military history and military thinking. But when you read his essays there is a whiff of lefty about him that he never quiet says out loud…..I’m not saying my mind is anything like as clever as that bloke and his experience on the ground in conflicts is without question but I couldn’t help but think he is detached from ordinary peoples daily reality, reading one essay

I have to be honest and say I don’t believe a word of that. Suggesting that if Trump wins it emboldens Putin ?……peace was breaking out all over the show under Trump. Here’s a thought that just occurred to me, Putin and Russia is such a clear and present danger to Europe that the UK government is totally fine with closing a steel works in Port Talbot and relying on foreign imports instead ? Something don’t quiet add up there.

If enough people vote for someone else they get in, period. More importantly, if nobody votes for Labour or Tory they don’t get in….and that’s the really important thing. They don’t have to form a whole government, they just have to keep the main party candidates out. Doing the same and expecting different is wasting a vote imho, but that’s just my opinion mate.
