Spot on mate, im itching to get out, so are the mutts, but its to hot to even walk them much at the moment and the ground is like bell iron....... Mate, I tell you, we have had no rain to speak of since April, the dogs feet are getting knocked about everytime we go out but what you gonna do? In this paticular weather, you could put a dog in a bad way very quickly.

I dont know about you, but its about 20c here, you go and run your dog if you want to...........mine is just fine where he is ..........I certainly wont be running him in this off the back of 10 days in sick bay. But you crack on, lets see what you have been upto I am sure if folk wanted they could put a post up every single night showing you a couple of bunnies.........I enjoy the real quality tales such as TOMO and today, Mollies thread.........but theres only so much you can say about catching a few rabbits.

how the f**k is the dog 35 years old is this a joke or do you have no concept of time ? instead of moaning about your dog why dont you make an effort to learn about the type of dog you have . Most sighthounds or sighthound mixes learn better by positive reenforcement so stop subjecting your dog to acts of cruelty and bond with it . Thanks lads, I just dont get it..............me and 16 of my mates with all their dogs started it at 3 months old and it has been doing well when we all go out up until this point............I have tryed everything!!!

I am at my wits end, after 35 years of perfect behaviour my dog did something odd for half a second the other night...............I now feel my season is completely over!!!! I take it out 2 times a week and mooch about in the day allowing it to do whatever it likes, it has caught masses of game for me in the last 26 years but when it had the off moment the other night I just knew in my heart that this was the end............I just dont know where to turn. I have never bothered to read a training book or ask someone in person that knows about such things, but I just cant understand why

I think you are right with the first bit mate. I think many anthropologists would argue that love is ultimatly a way of ensuring security through a pack /tribal / community structure etc. ..or maybe love is unique to man because we're the only ones capable of the use of language to describe what would otherwise be nothing more than a raw, primal instinct..? Theres no primal instinct to someone pushing someone else out the way of a bus and costing themslves their own life
