i know a good few terriers that,get dug too and still beat in a line...if the dog,s got a bit of savvy it knows what game your playing,but you will have accept the fact that if you do use it for both and the terrier comes across a fox or rabbit it WILL go for it.. I guess it all depends on the shoot,if its a posh shoot then i think not having any dogs in the line is best,but if its a little friendly shoot then bring them all out and have a fun day shooting...Terriers are not robot dogs(no offense by that) like some labs and spanials i know that will do everything you ask straight away without

i lost my dog for about an hour last night,i was playing darts with a couple of mates,the consevatory door was open and the terrier was outside,just as it got dark he dissapeared.WEll i called and called but he had gone out to the field so i grabbed the lamp and went seeking,calling and calling all the way.Anyway i heard him barking around the corner went to see but no terrier in sight,now normally in this instance he,s heard me shout and ran back to the house,so i went went back to the garden and a bloody fox sneaks out the garden and stops right in front of me,(tyipical i had no gun on me),

nice work mate, terrier fights always happen from time to time but its all part of the mayhem!!!! i find my feet do better than my hands in those situations!!
