    Whho Hoo Another Great Show Coming on Stream Saturday the 7th June Fiona Devlin will hold her Annual Dog Show and Race day this year on Saturday 7th June. Fionas Show is always one of the top events of year in the Sporting Calendar. Venue and full Details later. Really looking forward to this brilliant show. Everyone very Welcome.     Up Dated list of Dog Show/Racedays and Gamefair Dates Date Saturday 1st March Sunday 2nd March Saturday 8th March Sunday 9th March Saturday 15th March A Race Day Only will take place Saturday 15th March 14 in the Laurencetown area, on the Gilford Banbridge Road. This race day will be a qualifer for The Master Mc Grath at Shanes Castle, and a great start to the racing season. A work in progress at the moment. Full details later.     * Come along to the " Field of Dreams Schooling Track " where dreams really do come true, on the 12th and 13th April 14. * The Field of Deams Schooling Track, Gulladuff, Maghera, Co Derry are running a Race day on Saturday 12th of April, and a Dog Showing Day on Sunday 13th April.     Sunday 15th June Shannagh Working Terrier, Lurcher, and Whippet Dog Show Shannagh Working Terrier,Lurcher and Whippet Club Dog Show will be taking place this year on Sunday 15th June. Paddy Gilmore has something lined up for young and old, male and female to enjoy. There may be Strong Dogs at this show as well. Dont miss this great family day out. Full details later.     Baltinglass, Co Wicklow in the beautiful vale of Avoca, is holding a Lurcher Terrier and Whippet Show and Raceday in Baltinglass County Wicklow on Sunday 30th of March. This show is a qualifer for the 5 Nations Whippet Champion at Shanes Castle, a qualifer for 5 Nations Lurcher and Terriers at Birr Castle, and also a qualifer for the Master Mc Grath at Shanes Castle.     News Flash -Take Note Tullylish Working Terrier Club and Dublin Working Terrier Club(Dwtc )club welcome Collie Cross winners to end of year Championship in honour of Billy Copeland, a man who has dedicated his life to the Lurcher world, and Breeder of all round Collie Cross Lurchers. Billy is very much alive, but these 2 clubs are putting up this Championship as recognition for Billys lifetime dedication to breeding lurchers,collies,whippets and Greyhounds. Billys breeds have been first class all rounders and have spanned over many years. Any winners of Collie type Lurchers from now to Aug

    Tommy, are you not having seperate classes for the Whippets. You have a qualifer for the five Nations for Whippets. To give Whippets North and South of the border their fair share in the qualifer, same as Terriers and Lurchers in the show ring. I would suggest you should have the following classes for Whippets. Whippet Pups Dog/ Bitch 1/ Whippet Bitch 2/ Whippet Dog 3/ Working Whippet Bitch 4/ Working Whippet Dog 5/ Vetern Whippet 6/ Whippet Pairs Overall Champion Whippet. I will find out if Vetern Whippets qualify for 5 Nations or not. I definately know there is an age l

    Saturday 10th May The Mourne Show, show grounds, will be the venue for the IWP/NEBR Weightpull and Bulldog show which will take place on Saturday10th May. This show will also be on again on Sunday 11th May at the Mourne show grounds , as well as The Mourne Lurcher, Terrier and Whippet Show. Full details later. Sunday 11th May Mourne Lurcher, Terrier and Whippet Show will be held on Sunday only,11th May as normal,as well as the 2nd day of the IWP/NEBR Weightpull and Bulldog show. Full details later.

    Barry Hollands 32 Counties Raceday Sunday 29th December 13 The rain was pouring down and the wind was icy cold as we arrived at Artigarvan for the 32 Counties Champion of Champions 13 race day Sunday 29th December 13. But the weather and the cold could not get in the way of a great days enjoyment and fresh air, after all the food and beverages of Christmas. There was a medium sized crowd of Canine men and women with their winning Whippets and Lurchers. The racing started at approximately 1.30pm. There were some great and worthy winners on this race day. To all our Hunting Life friends in the Dog Show world,Racing world, all our friends in the Sporting Whippet Club, Nilrc, and all other sporting organisations and clubs we come in contact with during the year.
