    Regular client Rodger came up trumps today and realised his dream a medal roe buck for his wall. Silver i'm sure. I caped it and he's taken it to the taxidermist. The advert. The video. Well done rodger, "good shot"

    He didn't come out but came up behind and I couldn't turn around he was shot at 15ft.

    Great results this morning. Me taking both clients out. Sat one in ambush for the buck which was with the doe last night on the video, He shot another smaller buck instead. And the bigger one I had seen last week we found within 15 minutes of arrival hard at a doe. Some nice video even if i say so myself.

    Well done. This rut was slow to start but the last 3 days has been nuts. Todays quiet with all the rain, out again tonight.

    The calls we use to pull in mating roe are very distressed sounds or a fiep and this will attract curious foxes also.

    Questing bucks and single does but no real chasing since the one shot earlier in the month. Cold nth winds and drizzle not helped though. We have has some luck though haveing one buck missed twice from a stationary combine (parked up) and 3 foxes shot in 2 days as well as 2 four pointers. The one this morning was shot after seeing him near a doe box we stalked to the box and waited after the calling did nowt. 20 mins later out he came on a mission. It was now 9.45 am so late to be active. yesterdays buck. to dark to film last nights foxes could only see them in the zeiss binos and s

    Breeze, gsp, points live deer at 100m's. tracks deer and finds the smallest spots of blood. A joy to be around.

    Never seen it as obvious as this but nothing is impossible with roe. They suprise me all the time, one reason I love em so much I think. The thing is would the kid go with the other doe even if she drove mum off?? I doubt it as the bond is very strong.

    How about this we shot x2 foxes yesterday evening. He head shot the cub at 110m's in uncut grass blowing the jaw off it and shooting it running off. The vixen then showed up but twigged us she ran off and he shot her running up the tram line at about 120m's great shooting. then to top off he has asked me to go to finland in november as his guest to shoot whitetail deer on friday, driven moose w. t. deer and boar on sat sun then on monday morning go on a capercallie shoot. It gets better, i can take 3-4 mates, so mates asked 5 of us are flying to Helsinki on the 10th Nov.

    A Dane shot a very deffinate rutting buck this morning in the rain?????????????? got it on video almost I think. will post up photos and film after ive had a kip. Earliest ive ever seen it. and hey no need for a barryj disclaimer now.

    Chanced it this morning between showers. Saw a known buck questing and on a mission, sadly he was down wind heading away towards the boundry. A 1/2 hour later he came back but was sky lined. Barry would be happy we didn't shoot him. Always tomorrow. Any way a good start buck seen in the rain.

    Snuff you did ok, but I think it was his thread chavs in cammo what was his downfall. His usual high and mighty looking down his nose attitude didn't take long to surface. Stu I can't help but wonder with his record and temprement on-line how the hell was he made a moderator???? He is surely too restricted in his veiws and values to mediate and decide whats ok?? It takes a good 2 hours to read the thread but my god, what was he thinking of? Here is one thing I'll give him, he is reliably unchanging, But sadly that will also mean he will be back, if not already.
