    Whin you seem to know your dogs.And if you think one is no good at 7 or 8 month Thats up to you mate.Who am i to tell you otherwise.Its this it did not make the grade that has me baffled.You say 7 or 8 month other 4 or 5 years.I owned a collie/grey/whippet pre ban.Never took its fist hare until 18 month daytime after that there was no stoping it.Took its first daytime roe three month later.Reading some of the topics that dog would have been passed on.Or put to sleep after sixteen month(did not make the grade)For some the grade doset allways have to be perfection that would just be silly and m

    I dont understand the grade system.A few weeks ago RFYL offered a two and a half year dog for stud.Many of the long time dogmen gave the guy pellters.Saying a dog isant proven untill four or five years.Now we have whin telling us he knows at 7 or 8 month if its any good.So dose the grade come down your own expectations of your dogs abillity for the job in hand.If so maybe most of our dogs do make it.

    When i take a dog on i stick with it nomatter what.Not saying there all world beaters.But i cant say i,ve never owned one that was good for nothing. There must be a few out there who dont know what the grade is.So we have dogs getting passed about for silly reason.Buy i agree every man to his own.

    Three days now of heavy wind/sleet and rain.

    A fast dog dosent run at top speed.Most will keep up with its quarry trying to panic it as i said before a good dog will stay slitely on the side behind waiting for the turn.If it turns into the dog game over.If it turn away the dog sees it and turn accordingly. Most times you get the same result.

    Agree its all down to pratise and a bit of brains.Some will try to pick up from the back end.Where as others will run by and take it by the side.But for me the best is a quick dog that can run the side keeping a few paces behind and takeing it on the turn .

    Yip.A thankyou isent asking for mutch.But some people are just pricks.A few years ago one of my terries got out.So i phoned th police/local cat and dog home asking if it had been handed in.Was told no.Next day Undi was going by the cat and dog home so he had a look round the pens.Low and behold there was my dog.When i was picking it up.I asked the lady who had handed it in and when.Told me the police yesterday at 3 O clock.I informed her i had phone the police and her office at five O Clock the same day and was told no terrier had been handed in.There mistake.But i still had to pay £83 for th
