  2. for me without a doubt it's a deerhound, love them majestic is an understatment.
  3. Jamie, I was always told to go for the pup which is at the front wanting to know whats going on, also the strongest looking pup and not the lil one which sits at the back, more expert advice should be on it's way but I used this method when selecting my pup and Im well chuffed with her....good luck
  4. Silly question but y's the thread been moved ??? ive not done anything wrong have I?
  5. Flippin eck Timmay, thats a real good point even more worried now !, I'll deffo take that on board, Ive been told to freeze any meats first, apparantly kills any nasty beasties, know it's 100 questions but if I dont ask I'll never learn, whats your thought on road kill ? whats your methods in getting veg into em ie which veg ? how du feed them with it ? bit embarrassed by all the questions, sorry Craig oh yer sorry erm, is it normal for a 9Wk old pup to try and swallow it whole ?
  6. As per usual "FANTASTIC REPLY" Hannah, I too am about to start the road to puppy obedience and training, Ive done a few bits with her and amazed how clever she is and how quickly she's picked it up, her house training is going really well, it's tough on me cos 3am when she's howling and crying I know now she needs todo her business, I dont mind getting up to let her out as she obviously doesnt want to sh!%£ in her cage, Ive been working her with a dog whistle and we all have great fun (inc her) whistling her before her BARF meal, she now associates the whistle with something nice, and to see
  7. Hi, and thanks very much for your advice, Ive bashed the wings with an hammer, so all the bones were fragmented, Im just frightened that the sharp bones are going to stick in her throat, bowel or intestine etc, it just goes against everything Ive always been told...."DONT GIVE A DOG CHICKEN BONES" I must admitt, she loves it ! another question tho....is it normal for a 9Wk old pup to try and swallow it whole ? Hannah, your spot on, she is so ravenous with it, and just wants to get it down her throat asap ! I am feeding her a mixed diet of hi protein puppy meal, Chicken, and fruit and veg, infa
  8. Hi Fella's, I was wondering what your thoughts are, as you maybe aware I recently picked up my 9 Wk old Hancock lurcher, well I really like the idea of feeding her a BARF diet, well I thought about a 50 50 diet, 50% redmills 50% BARF, but it's bl**dy scarey giving her chicken bones etc, I gave her a wing for the first time yesterday and she loved it, I hit it first and broke all the bones up, problem is she now sticks her nose up at her dried food, your help and advice is very much appreciated, Craig
  9. As Ive said to Paul aka Mally, I deffo want one of his next Pups, which will hopefully enable me to fully train my recently aquired Hancock, a thoroughly decent chap who obviously knows what he's talking about, premature as usual but Im looking forward to it already, I agree Vixen looks in 100% condition Craig
  10. I said I couldnt tell, is that his bed?.........maybe he lays on the floor.........who knows from that picture is what I am saying? it is his bed, he has quite clearly stated that !!! I only asked why he didn't take it the full length across the back and was told to go fly a kite !!! I'm not saying anymore on the subject as Skycat has spotted my weakness, apparently "I'm not OK so nobody else can be OK." If your'e in a bad place mentally or emotionally then you'll try and make everyone else suffer as well. so I'm off to see my shrink, to up my dose !!! i think yo
  11. Stoney you carry on talking out ya ass, your obviously used to it, you ve got no respect for animals, anti, dont make me laugh, instead of hiding away from the facts and getting personal, open your mind up and think about what were debating, it's not a personal thing between u and I, we obviously have different morals and standards, again I reiterate...some bad conciounces, it's not my fault you think it's ok to treat these wonderful proud animals like rats.
  12. ("sully how many dogs u got mate??? excatly!! not all of us can have 1 in the house and love it like a family member like you said on your other topic") WHAT A CROCK OF SHITE !! Im not saying that a dog has to live a life of luxury, keep in clean, dry, fed and watered, with enough room to move, and with some form of bedding, straw, paper, old blanket....do I have to explain this to you ? any nine Yr old will tell you that a dog which dont carry much in terms of body fat will find lying on slabs uncomfortable, I dont give a flying gnats bollock what the circumstances are, IT'S WRONG, and g

  16. Sorry Cherrug, but it was you who didnt read the post :- desert dog, why do you feel compelled to get aggressive, theatening and acting like a thug, it was as you can see desert dog who was getting aggressive !
  17. Cherrug, sorry pal but your talking out ya a$$, why on earth should SJack opologise to anyone, I dont want it, it seems to me that this post has evoked some concsiounces, he has done nothing wrong bring this to the fore, desert dog, why do you fewel compelled to get aggressive, theatening and acting like a thug, I dont know SJack at all but he's obviously a fella with principles and standards and I 100% agree with him, sorry pal but it not only gives Dan a bad name, we whole countryside fraternaty get labeled, inc you and me !
  18. Swanseajack, for gods sake dont apologise, imo you were right to start this thread, this type of dog husbandry went out in the dark ages, and as for it being a silly thread again imo this is one of the best threads ive seen, we all have a duty of care to guard against giving our flowery smelling, quorn eating, dreadlock combing friends called the anti's ammunition with which they can use against us, this needs to be stopped, no need for it, were in a fight gentlemen, every day the clock is ticking down to when our way of life is taken away from us or driven further underground, so we all as a
  19. This is 100% what the anti's love, I can read the headline now above the picture of these poor animals "AND THEYRE SUPPOESED TO LOVE AND RESPECT THERE DOGS !!!" this for me is a total joke and imo these dogs would be better off dead, to see such proud animals living like this makes me sick, working dogs can surely be worked hard but treated with respect, Craig.
  20. Dont apologise pal, I loved em

  23. Gaz, I deffo wouldnt let anyone down I say it me sen but I am 98% honest and trustworthy...if your thinking about the 2% I tell the odd porky to the wife when I stay in the pub to long, seriously mate, It's not to let me dog work, it's simply so her and me can see how it's done, I'll carry what ya need round and act as a skivvy, owt ta learn from you experienced fella's, just to re-iterate, I'd never let you down, Craig
