Watch out for vivaros and traffics with the 6 speed gear box, very prone to needing the box replacing. But they drive well i find.

Very nice mate. And nice set up in your truck -
I did 2 inch body lift from xpajun, rear springs from a lwb shogun (that gives around 2 inchs lift at the back as well) and then cranked up the front torsion bars to match. Only things that needed doing were undo a bracket on the fuel filler pipe, Trim the rad fan cowling, undo the brackets on the solid PAS pipes, and cut a little notch out of the centre console to allow the 4wd lever to go back into 2wd. But any higher than a 2 inch body lift and youve got to start extending brake pipes etc. Standard shocks dont present any problems but extended ones are obviously going to let you

Everyones entitled to their own oppions. Im a big lover of fourtraks, and would have bought my 3rd if i could have found a good one. But went for a pajero instead and so far iv found it much better round the offroad courses. Oh and a paj doesnt rot out so much as a fourtrak But granted i do agree the daihatsu lump might be a more reliable engine. Except on one of mine the gasket went and cracked the head. So swings and round abouts really

Petrol in a diesel is worse than diesel in a petrol ;-) But yeah a bit in a full tank of diesel will do the trick when its really really cold.

Im not talking driving across a field here mate. Iv had both, and used both for lamping, towing, farm use etc. But iv also taken them to off road courses and used them properly. And im afraid the pajero is better. Fourtrak is an excellent work horse dont get me wrong, iv got one with no roof that is a dedicated lamping vehicle. But the ground clearance isnt enough and leaf springs are rubbish for proper offroading.

Yeah im over the moon with her Not been rushing training her to be honest. As shes still too young this year, Ive got plenty of time till next season. Done some retrieving work as recomended by a trainer friend of mine, and just teaching her general manners, letting her know her boundaries and how far she can go from me. Shes going to be a joy to train though and shes going to be a close hunter which is better for me. -
Bought this off my Dad couple of months ago and thought id make it a bit more capable off road and ready for the winter Day i got it, After some modding Thought id make a better (stronger lol) front bumper for it, (This was whilst making it) The only picture i have at the minute of the finished bumper on the truck. (Parked next to a landy iv been working on) Hope you like

Iv got a 2.8 pajero and its pretty thirsty. But i have got bigger tyres on it so probably has worsened the consumption. Diesel gets thicker when its cold making it harder to start. But could be youve got a couple of glow plugs need replacing.

When my pup was like a lot smaller, she tried to squeeze through a fox gate on one of my pheasant pens . forced herself half way through then just sat there crying. Thought i was going to have to send my mate home for some bolt croppers but i managed to squeeze her out in the end lol

2.4? Shogun i take it not paj?

Proper hairdressers 4x4 Looks clean motor though. On the 4wd, diff locker question, doubt it has because i thought only the lwb shoguns had rear locks? And my pajero doesnt have the rear locker as standard either.

Depends how modern you're talking. Seen 1998 (R reg) fourtraks in mint condition sell for £5000. Iv replaced fourtraks with swb pajeros. Bit more comfort, faster and better off road.

Iv heard that about being bred for woodcock. But a woman dog trainer i know spent ages telling me theyre called cockers because the are 'cock sure of themselves' ie cocky.

Bottom one looks like my 6 month old bitch Tilly yes she does mate is she out of wetland abe as well? No shes not. The dam was mainly Jafare and Parkbreck lines and the sire (Daleshot Black Jack of Wrenmarsh) was made up of Maesydderwen, Parkbreck, Cadboll and a few others. Anything similar to yours? They are a very similar stamp. -

What other ways do people condition their dogs so their fit enough for long days grafting?

No lab will go through 100% of cover for the simple reason theyre too big to fit sometimes. Thats the advantage of a small spaniel. But if mainly for a retrieving dog id have a lab for sure. Iv got a 6 1/2 month cocker and she's coming on nicely. Ever so loyal, always wants to be with me and always trying to please me. Iv never had to treat her in order to get her to do something. She does it because she just wants to please me. Know people with both springers and cockers and the springers are tireless workers but seem to work 'for the job' if that makes sense. But the cockers seem to work to
