  1. Certainly is worrying when a rifle goes off in a motor.
  2. Did my HNC at Elmwood 9 years ago, was a good course back then, mind you there was only 3 off us on it. Think thurso is just as good.
  3. They bring there own rifles with them.
  4. As far as am aware the police where involved and the lad that owns the deer farm was demanding the deer back. Didn't think the permit would allow them to shoot the red deer as it would just be down for roe.
  5. It was danish clients, it was on an estate near where I stay, The agent that was out with him said to shoot the deer, the red deer had got out a deer farm.
  6. How would a visitor who is across here to shoot roe, but ends up shooting 3 red deer, how would that stand? Just curious as to what the legality off this would be? Also the stalkers who where across, 1 managed to put a bullet through roof off pick up, Don't think they will be invited back again.
  7. Been out a few times with the light lately, saw 9 one night and managed to dispatch 3 of them, 2 dogs and a vixen about 2 weeks ago. Was out last night and saw 4 with no joy. Have shot 12 foxes since middle of febuary and still a few around. Saw some good looking bucks last night too which was good, will be fine for when the clients come in may.
  8. Shooting some roe and keeping on top of the foxes then be at the hoodys nest which can be fun.
  9. Just tell her you can supply some nice and healthy food for her to cook, or you to cook.
  10. Nice fox, Just a quick question what type of scope have you got on your rifle, thinking of changing mine.
  11. Personaly I wouldn't use a air rifle to dipatch a fox in a cage trap, more so if you are using 3 - 4 shots to kill the fox. To me kill it with 1 shot, job done, none of this 3-4 shots.
  12. We not shooting anymore this season, the ones we got all healthy birds today, na a thin one amongst them
  13. Certainly where our shoot takes place the numbers are up, saw about 55-65 woodcock today any way.
  14. I guess your next question will be 'Has anyone used a .410 in the house to kill spiders' lol!
  15. Does the parasite work its way to the skin and break through? Someone said to me that what happens, does it cause any problems with the deer?
  16. What difference does having high grades make, if you put your mind to it that you want to be a keeper then you work hard and show that you have what it takes to be a good keeper, like someone said you see some right wallys thinking there are the best, but they are about as much use as a choclate fire guard.
  17. What is the cause of liver fluke, roe deer, had a doe today with liver fluke and had a buck in same area, is it do with wet area's where the deer are living? Just looking for some info or some pics if anyone got.
  18. Hi there, have got one of those calls, very good, have pulled in a lot of foxes with it, great on a quiet night, I got mine from the sporting shooter magazine, don't know if i still have the article, will have a look and get the number if still have the magazine, either that or try contacting the magazine to see if they still have a contact number. Will have a look for you.
  19. Be best to check it during daylight so you know where all the bits are and safe for shooting and there's no houses around, Safety always first, when your out if your not happy about taken the shot don't. Maybe best to go out with someone thats been out lamping before just to see how its done.
  20. Has anyone bought or tried the plucking bit that you attach to a drill that you see in the bushwear and other magazines? If so does it work?
