  9. As i said to you before( i think when you was asking about using him for stud) PS had nothing to do with me getting joe, my mate whos dead sorted it for me I didn't even know PS at the time. I was asking on behalf of a mate with a very good pure,Joe is a stunning dog but to slow for me,land looks very much like the wolds were P.S runs................. the dog in the pic is the spit of Annie
  10. Paul, to answer your question re "were any matched" Alan Booth won quite a few matches with Fred and don't forget Tony G's Shady won the Temple Brewer and ran up in the Forley and Ive seen other that certainly could do the business....................but I'm with you in that Ive never seen one as good as a top class saluki/lurcher
  11. What lines were these Mush? How do you rate Sabti al sabat you got off P.S compared with these, do you think he would have "cut the mustard" single handed on open land?
  12. Id rather spend a HUNDRED years in Darcy,s company than ONE second in yours
  13. Del,s "Luke" was off "the Duke" x Dels "Molly". Duke was bred off Davies "Laddie-the street accident" to Ivor Lees "Anna" The Duke was also sire to "Rambo" and "Sherry" ........."Charlies" sire and dam..........he also sired Dave Smiths "Gazza" amoungst others..... Molly,s dam was "Queeny" three times winner of the Spewers Cup featured in Darcy,s latest comic. She was salukix bull whippet, i dont know who Mollys sire was
  14. Your being FAR to modest Hannah I believe you know PERSONALLY a VERY famous author, photographer with his own chapter in the guinness book of records for the worlds biggest proboscis Sometimes the magnitude of his brilliance can reduce me to tears, his talent is simply overwhelming and i will forever stand in his shadow . . . . . . cast from said proboscis!
  15. Great pics and action! Handy to have a cameraman to catch them "moments no one will believe"

  17. Whin, i know nothing about lure coursing or racing of ANY kind I,d rather spend an hour trying to decipher one of your posts
  18. P.S credit to the Rio and the lads bringing the imported stuff in Mush...........Durak was bred off a Swiss RACING champion
  19. I have actually SEEN both these strains run,not just read their names from a KC reg (often inaccurate ) and,as usual, the truth lies somewhere in the middle The best salukis that I've personally seen have been a combination of the smooth cream Tepe Gawra derived dogs put to FASTER,(yes faster Mush)Kizzy/Pharaoh stuff I was on Boozers do on March fen, when Wilbur brought Star and her black and tan sister out of Fred (son of Mick Taylor's Fred...Pharaoh ). He slipped them doubled up (as they were only eleven months old at the time) this was always a big day with some very experienced dog
  20. The bitch on the kennel looks VERY much like she,s off Deacon ...........was her dam Brian T,s "Pip"?
  21. This is debate CP not an argument and yes i do disagree with you. A dog CAN be to fast, if were talking about single handed hare and not just on the fens. The ideal is- a fast dog that runs "within its self" IE does not incur oxygen debt and the resulting build up of lactic acid. A run at a good winter hare, given a fair start, is a middle distance event ,like you stated 2-3min. Set off to fast in a middle (or long distance distance event) and you soon move from the aerobic to the anaerobic (oxygen debt). It doesn't matter how game a dog (or person) is if the muscles are writing c
  22. Im not saying your telling lies CP, i belive you 100% But,to come out with statements like "watching paint dry" and "waiting for a the hare to make a mistake" are the comments of an rooky not an experianced man like youself
  23. IS 100% RIGHT, obviously been out a done it on a regular basis, Chartpolski 45 years, all over the world?
